Has anyone ever been"carded" by a bus driver or at the Monorail to see if they are pass holders. It has never happened to us and we were wondering if they even try to keep off people who don't belong. Seems like a security glitch to me. Yes it would be a pain to have to show your pass all the time but ramdom checks would not be too bad.
Just a thought

Based on our own personal experience, the answer to your question would be "sometimes".

On some visits I have seen monorail platform CMs checking IDs before permitting boarding at the Contemporary, Poly, and GF. Ditto for the water taxis.

I have also seen a complete absence of checking on other visits.

We just got back last night from 12 nights in the World and NEVER were asked for ID while entering the monorail, but entering every resort we needed to show ID, and sometimes our room keys.

I've seen pin collectors at Epcot, first thing in the morning, who did not look anything like guests! They were demanding to see the pins on the lanyards first before anyone else, to the managers.

This happened back when EE mornings were up and running, and supposedly only guests came in at that time. I am sure a few of those sneaked into the buses witout even checking in at a resort (how hard is that, really?)

well, the last time we were there was last august (i.e. before 9-11) but we were never carded on anything except for the little ferry boat to fort wilderness.....that's it....
not on any other transportation.....except....wait...
i remember being asked as we got on the bus associated with blizzard beach....either going to or returning from blizzard beach....maybe both ways....but that was it...
never on the monorail or any of the other buses...

There are very few people who are not allowed to use the transportation.

You are entitled to the transportation if

1. you are a resort guest
2. you are an annual passholder
3. you are a park hopper passholder

from the DisneyWorld.com site

With every Park Hopper® Ticket you get:
With each PARK HOPPER PLUS, you also receive:
With every Premium Annual Pass you get:
With every Annual Pass you get:

I was just thinking about some "bad person" who could park free at DD and hop on a bus and then go to one of the parks without paying his fair share it seems to me Disney could have a loophole where they could regain lost revenue.

I can see what you are thinking, but then again if that person bought any type of ticket other than a single day / single park ticket they are entitled to Disney Transportation.

I've had my resort ID checked, but it was in 1992. I haven't had it happen since.
