Disney Transportation after park closes from Resort restaurant to Resort room?

I have a reservation at Chefs Mickey (Contemporary Resort) at 9:00pm on Friday. I leave around 11:00pm. All parks are closed at that time... how do I get back to AKL? Will there still be buses? Thank you for any help!!!

Probably a cab would be the easiest. Just be prepared to pay at least $20.

Or, you could take a CR bus to DTD. The DTD buses run late. You could then take a DTD bus back to your resort. I did this once and vowed to never do it again! We waited at least 40 minutes at DTD for our resort bus and it was cold. I think a $20 cab ride is way worth it given the hassle of DTD . . .

If you have a 9:00 ADR at CMs, it most likely won't take you 2 hrs to eat...I have never been in there longer than 90 mins and that was on Thanksgiving Day and it was ridiculously crowded and our server was very stressed.

But, in any event....you may be able to get a bus at MK if it's still open or just recently closed. Buses run from the parks for about 2 hrs after the park closes. If that isn't going to work then you'll have to take the bus to DTD from the CR and transfer to the AKL bus. Or, just take a cab from CR to AKL.

If the Magic Kingdom is not having PM Extra Magic Hours that night then I would just take a taxi from the Contemporary to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Hi,

Friday October 1st , the MK closes at 7 but that is because there is the MNSSHP ( halloween party) until midnight.

I would assume that the resort transportation from the MK back to AKL would continue until 2 hours after park closure ( ie unti 2am) . maybe someone else can confirm.

If that is the case then just walk to MK and get the AKL bus.

Yes, if it's a party night the buses will be running all night. More busses to coincide with the end of fireworks, within an hour of park closing, etc., maybe more spaced out early in the party.

Just walk from the Contemporary to the bus area to get your resort bus.

Since that night Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party will be happening WDW will keep running buses to the Magic Kingdom until no more guests are waiting for one and by the time the OP is finished at Chef Mickey's the party will still be happening, so they don't need to worry about getting a bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Yes they could, but from the Contemporary it's faster to walk to the Magic Kingdom and since they are going to their bus station the walkway goes right past there, so that's why it makes more sense to walk there.

I love enjoy a dinner, talk, enjoy the restaurant and I think that 2 hours for me are very necessary because I'll have to add one more thing to dinner " Disney characters"!!!....
