I am taking a cake decorating class and we will be learning how to transfer a pattern onto a cake. I want to do a Disney one. Anyone know a good site to find nice Disney templates? Someone suggested coloring books would be good. I want stuff with not too much detail as I'm just starting out. Even a simple Mickey Mouse head type graphic. I googled a few things but was wondering if anyone knew of a site that had a bunch in one spot. Thanks!

do they need to be in color or black and white (I don't know much about cake decorating)?

Try doing a google search for Disney Coloring Book images. Print it out, then just copy what you need with the piping gel. Some of the images have very large solid areas with little details...

Good luck!

I haven't done one yet, but from what I have read it seems you trace the pattern with gel onto parchment paper so I'm guessing black and white would be better. I did search for some coloring pages and came up with a few I could use. Some patterns were too complicated and would be too hard I think. Since it'll be my first time I wanted something simpler...lol. I'll be learning how to do it on Sunday.

Don't know if you have an account but if you are signed up for Disney Movie Rewards (where you enter the codes that come with your Disney DVD's to get free stuff!), under Member Benefits they have a bunch of activity pages and what not, and there are some cute coloring pages.

The Aristocats one looks to be nice and simple, each character is individual, so you can only do two or three if you wish. If you don't have an account, I can download the .pdf for you and e-mail it.

Hope that helps! :)

When I did transfers, I used wax paper with the line drawing under... it was easier to see through than the parchment. Remember, just because the detail is in the pic, doesn't mean you have to put it there. Honestly, Pooh is a great one to do, just a thought...

Good Luck!

Thanks for all of the advice! I'm not a Movie Rewards member but I do get emails from family.go that is related with Disney I think and they send cute stuff to do. Not sure if they have coloring pages though. I think the regular Disney site does but they are a bit too intricate for a cake. But i'ts true, I don't have to do all the details. good point.
