Disney Touches

We are new members and have not stayed at any of the DVC resorts yet so I have a question for everyone. I know the resorts will be nice and I am looking forward to our first trip, but do the resorts have the Disney touch? I know the theme for SSR will be related to horses and the style of architecture will be similar to what is prevalent in Saratoga Springs, NY, but will there be Mickey heads, or any other subtle touches of Disney? I know no one truly knows the answer to this but based on what is incorporated in the BWVs, BCVs, etc. could anyone speculate?

I can speak for BCV which is the only DVC resort I've stayed at so far and yes, many subtle Disney touches everywhere. There is a big statue of Ariel at the entrance of the villas with the DVC logo. The pattern of the hall carpets has ivy with flowers on it and coincidently enough.....mickey heads in the ivy. The bedspreads have Ariel and Sebastien under the sea with bubbles that form....you guessed it....Mickey heads.

Those are just a few.....I know there are more and I'm sure SSR will be the same!

Each DVC resort has it's own special "Disney" touches in evidence. Each resort has Hidden Mickeys- some in the rooms themselves, some in the landscaping, some in the interior areas- but all have their own special flair. HH even has a list of clues at the front desk to aid kids (of all ages) in discovering this special brand of magic!

Like most Disney resorts, the DVC resorts also have hidden Mickeys.

There is a list at VWL also of "hidden Mickeys" that you can get. Several folks have reported how much fun they have had looking for them.

The DVC resorts also have one "Disney touch" that the WDW resorts have....you can leave a wake up call and hear Mickey greet you for a new day.

The DVC accommodations have maintained the feel of staying "on-site" that you get in the WDW Resorts...at least they have for us.

At WLV the bedspreads have little suttle Mickey heads all over. The decorative pillows on the beds are covered in Mickey heads also. Took me three days til I discovered those. Yes Disney touches are everywhere in WLV. Have fun looking!!
