Hi everyone - I have been reading about the pin trading and "scrappers" for a while. I really dont wanna buy from ebay seeing it seems even the sellers on the "good" list have now turned into scrappers (maybe by default, maybe not). I would rather purchase real pins and trade real pins. I bought my daughter the lanyard and pin set for 2010 (her first trip to WDW - MK). I do not want to part with those so I want to buy a new lanyard and pins for trading. Although my daughter is only 2 we are going back in October and I want to see if she is interested and understands the concept. I actually think this will be a fun and good learning experience about trading and sharing our pins :o) She really likes the toddler princesses (because she has a potty training chart with toddler princess stickers as rewards). I found many toddler princess pins on ebay...and I have also searched a few of the websites suggested on this board. The only place I seem to find a lot of them is ebay.

Is anyone willing to sell there toddler pins (any kind, not just princesses - cuz we do intend to trade them). If not can you please give me a seller name of a current seller on ebay that is not selling garbage.

I am willing to spend $3 a pin max. I would like to buy about 20-30 pins.

I would look at these:

If you search "Disney Booster Pin" on ebay, you're going to come up with a ton of results. I've purchased tons of sets off of there and I have yet to receive a fake booster set. All of the above links I linked to are sellers I have used though, so I feel confident recommending them to you.

The other option is to call the Disney outlet stores. There's a thread on this board about $1.99 vinylmation pins and $9.99/ 4 pin lanyard and hip lanyard thread. Several people have reported that they will ship them to you. If all else fails, you can send me a PM. The Disney store outlet I'm by has a ton of the 4 pin lanyard and hip lanyard sets for sale. I usually go out there every 7-10 days, so I can pick them up for you if you need (but none of them are the toddler pins, if that matters to you...)

I have bought Disney trading pins from e-bay quite a bit! I NEVER pay more than .55 cents per pin. We LOVE pin trading but if I spent $3.00 a pin I wouldn't be trading them. I think thats alot, I'm cheap! I enjoy trading as much as the kids! ADDICTING!!! :thumbsup2

The previous poster (carebee21) gave you great advice. You won't go wrong buying the booster packs on eBay from recommended sellers for about $2 per pin. It's the giant random lot of 20 or more for less than a dollar each that demand more scrutiny. I think you've chosen a great way to start. And I can vouch for bizzybee, too. You might try ordering several sets of the toddler pins from her, so your daughter can see you're trading away the ones she has more than one of. (My daughter and nieces seem to have no problem trading pins away, it's me that always wants to keep them, and I have to buy more to trade!)

Good luck, have fun!

Hi - thank you for your reposnes. I ordered 1 25 pin lot from dyllan and 4 - 8 random pin sets from 91doubleh. Dyllan is not on any of the lists, doesnt have mass feedback and I saw a few others posted here saying they got authentic pins. I suspect I will get some scrappers in this lot because of the pin pics were standard on the profile and numerous auctions of lots. I did not see more then 25 in a lot. As for 91doubleh it appears this person sells a hodgepodge of stuff. I took a risk and won 4 lots of 8 pins each for $3.99, she combined shipping for me and said if any were scrappers I could return them. She did state she originally purchased them on ebay to get pins she was missing. They are in little plastic bags, which I read is a red flag. I figured I would take a risk and see how many are real. Return any scrappers and only trade the real pins. I spent $40 and got 57 pins total.

I am still interested in ordering from the outlet. Can someone provide the link/thread or phone numbers. I like the nerd pins and toddlers :o). I also was wondering if there was a good place to buy a lanyard on ebay. I like the one that has the zippered pouch (fastpass holder), pen and paper. I think they were like $7.99 + shipping. Any ideas if I can buy this in the store? I did see disney lanyards at my local Party City for .99 each.

Thanks for all the help! I am addicted to disboards....I can only imagine I will be addicted to pin trading :lmao:

And you never get "the look" from a cast member as they put the pin in their pocket instead of on their lanyard because they know it's counterfeit? I hope I'm not the one trading after you.

Ditto. It is extremely rare (if not impossible) to get any real, authentic trading pins for under $2 per pin.

P.S. Not sure if we can advertise other forums, but there is pintalk and disneypinforum where you can get authentic traders for $2 to $2.50 each including shipping (I list there and include a limited edition or limited release pin). Most of us who sell our pins for $2 to $2.50 per pin do so to get rid of our extras (and we lose money) but it's a way to recoup some money to spend on more pins! *lol*
