Disney to offer Extended park hours for Deluxe resorts only Starting Oct 1

Link not allowed here, but the title basically says it all. Guests will still need a theme park reservation and park hopping to the extended hour resort is allowed.

Will be interesting to see how this works. What parks, how many days a week?
As a DVC member and AP holder, this is a great perk for us.
I can see where some will not be happy with this.

It's a wait and see how often and how long (have they announced extended hours will be an hour, or am I imagining that?) these extended hours will be. A different park each night? Each park one night a week? I don't think you can get in but one or two rides in the extra morning 30 minutes, especially if everyone heads to the headliners. I love the deluxe resorts, but only if we can get good discounts. It does seem like Disney is certainly courting those with greater spending income- those who come once every two years or so and save for it like we do, or those who can afford to come whenever. Someone actually posted on the FB group they had a bottomless pocketbook and would pay any amount for FP- must be nice!

I appreciate that they are rolling this out alongside every-park-ever-day morning EMH. That's a big win for all on-site guests.

Since they're improving the core EMH offering it takes the sting out of offering an extra perk for deluxe-only visitors.

If they don't open POR we will be Deluxe only anyway so I guess it doesn't make me as irritated as it usually would only catering to the Deluxe guests.
