Hi everyone! Well, despite being super new to this boards I decided to try my hand at a pre-trip report. Our visit to DL seems to be right around the corner and I need somewhere to share my excitement!
Here's the (small) cast of characters:
Me - Jessica, 24
Hubby - Daniel, 24
We are heading to DL on November 14, 15, and 16. This was kind of unexpected trip for us. We visited WDW for the first time in February this year. However, on our third day in the parks (while at AK), we received a call that my husband's father was extremely ill and that we should probably come home. We hopped on the next plane back to Denver. His dad passed away that same evening.
A few months later, after dealing with our loss, we decided the right thing for us to do was to try to go back to Disney. A trip back to Florida was not really practical, so we decided to make it to DL instead. We figured this way it would be easier to get a quick trip in before the end of the year. I would retail, so asking for any time off in November is extremely difficult. My boss is AWESOME and agreed to let me take three days off the week before Thanksgiving.
We are flying out on the 13th after work and flying home the morning of the 17th so that we can have three full days in the parks. We are SO EXCITED to see some of the Christmas decor, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and the IASW overlay. I am also planning to book the Holiday tour on the 16th. Combining my love of Disney and Christmas sounds like a dream come true and I can't wait to experience this with my hubby. This has been a rough year for us and I hope this trip helps us end it on a high note.
