Hey,

So I just got sent a Disney survey which seems to suggest my responses would be linked to any booking I had. It asked about where I normally resided and my Magic at Sea sailing dates. It then asked about my presence on social media and when I essentially said I had one, it said I wasn’t the profile they wanted To survey and it ended. Anyone else? Seemed weird.

K.

I'd guess they either don't want the survey shared, don't want responders who are likely to be influenced by social media, or (most likely I think) want the sort of people who have shunned social media (who they thus can't influence/advertise to through that medium).

It's not really weird. Marketing is incredibly specific these days - far deeper than the A-E social grades of the past 50 years or so. You've likely watched adverts and thought "Huh? What was that about?" ... You weren't the target :)

Literally never seen an advert and thought what was that about but I did think that about this survey

I had same survey and was ruled out because of my job as civil servant. I know a couple of people who managed to answer the questions and it seems like they were gaging people's opinions on what has motivated them to book and what would motivate them to cancel

oh interesting I’m also a civil servant so maybe it was due to that. Shame, I really wanted to know what was being asked.

I got a survey from Disney (we're booked to go at the end pf September) but it was linked to the Disney Cruise Line app and I reckon because I had linked our reservation there. The questions centred around how often I use the app, what I was looking to do via the app but also asked what had influenced me to book and how safe I felt about the planned restrictions: - mask wearing, vaccination requirements, reduced capacity etc. Mostly tick box stuff so little chance of really stating an opinion. I wasn't asked about my occupation - only age and annual household income at the end along with the number of cruises we had taken in the past. Boxes went from 0, 2 - 4 etc. The final box was 99+!!!!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

So I had this one too about a week ago (wasn't screened out on this one). Then this second one came through yesterday

ruled out because of my job as civil servant
:crazy2:
I pondered this on my morning walk and, unlike the social media thing, I can't think of any (good) reason for that. Curious.

In California Adventure in 2019 I was stopped in the street for a survey, but dismissed about two questions in. Can't remember why now, but it does seem Disney's surveys are very targeted.

It's a weird one right? I was very confused by it as usually they don't rule me out for that but who knows what they were looking for. Maybe they think I control the COVID rules :D

I'll keep my eyes peeled for a second one in a few days time then. 👍

If it appears I'll let you know how I get on.
