I like to read www.snopes.com - a website listing different urban legends, whether or not they're true and their explanations. They have a section called the Glurge Gallery. The heading is this:

What is glurge? Think of it as chicken soup with several cups of sugar mixed in: It's supposed to be a method of delivering a remedy for what ails you by adding sweetening to make the cure more appealing, but the result is more often a sickly-sweet concoction that induces hyperglycemic fits.

The purpose of this thread is to tell WDW stories so sweet and endearing that they will alternately leave you running for the tissues (to cry into) or the toilet (to puke into). The "my daughter spent all day with Mickey, rode Dumbo 15 times in a row with no waits, ate nothing but ice cream with extra cherries and was then invited to move into Cinderella's Castle" thread. Uncut pixie dust!

My own (almost) story which I hope to make true in October:

My uncle Ray had a full beard from the time I was born until he died when I was 15. He was only 45. When I was very little, I would sit on his lap, scratch his beard and call it "kitty" Kitty was my first word. The first time I saw Monsters, Inc I bawled. Why? Because throughout the movie, Boo calls Sulley "Kitty" Even though he's huge and green with purple spots, he's fuzzy so that's his name. At the end (MONSTERS, INC SPOILERS AHEAD) Sulley returns Boo to her world. As he's leaving, Boo puts her hand on Sulley's and says, "Kitty" Sulley explains that Kitty has to leave now. *Bawling starts now* At the end, when Sulley returns, we don't see Boo, but we hear her excitedly say, "Kitty!" and Sulley's face lights up. Usually the crying has died down by now, but it starts all over again at this point. I don't have the greatest memory in general and almost 10 years after his death, I'm starting to lose my uncle. I've never been a big character meeter. I don't think I've ever bothered standing in line to meet any of the characters other than Mickey and don't have any signatures. In October, I'm planning on finding Sulley and hugging the crap out of him until they have to pry me off because I'm keeping a horde of 6 year olds at bay.

Not something that's happened yet, but I will make it happen!

Any stories you guys want to tell?
