Does anyone have the inside scoop on whats up with Disneystore.com? I cant get to ANYTHING!I was on the phone with them before with the free shipping not working even though I had $75 in my cart, and was on hold for over an hour before I hung up. I understand they are busy, but I would have assumed that Amazon would have crashed before disney store. Is there some incredible deal that I dont know about?
 
I don't know, but the site was running a little slow yesterday. I eventually was able to place my $150.00 order then.
 
I am on a long hold with them right now. I have been trying to make a purchase online for a few weeks, it crashes just as I try and pay! I have tried different credit cards, using Paypal, everything. GRRRRR!!!! :mad:
 
I have been trying since yesterday to place an order. Get all the way to complete checkout - entered CC# and everything and get an error message that says "The user does not have the authority to run this command "DSIQuickCartProcess"."

Starting to think Disney Store doesn't have the authority to get my business. I'm just scared that it happens after I enter the CC#...
 

Every time I try to add to my cart today it tells me my cart is empty! Guess they don't want my Black Friday money! :confused3

I can't help with any of the other issues, but I was having this same problem as well.

What I found was that even though the system didn't show that an item had been added to my cart like it should, it actually was being added. When I clicked on view cart, then update, everything was there. Of course I had to go through and update quantities since I had kept trying to add things over and over, so I ended up with way more stuff in my cart than I really wanted.

Of course after all that... I could never get the free shipping anyway. I got the little pop up message saying my order qualified for free shipping, but it never actually took the shipping fee off.

I think Disney needs to have a serious performance review with their IT people.
 
I bought a Dooney bag. No issues putting it in my cart. Then I added the "purchase with purchase" cosmetic bag. That caused problems. The stupid cosmetic bag adds a $5 shipping charge. OK, fine. I figured I would call to see if I could get it shipped for free. After 25 minutes on hold I hung up.

Back to the website where I was completely unable to get the damn cosmetic bag OUT of the cart!!:headache: I ended up processing it as a "Guest" because the system refused to delete the cosmetic bag when I was logged into my account.

Once I managed to JUST order the purse the shipping was free.

I THINK it worked, but I don't have a confirmation e-mail, so who knows. :confused3

I was having the same issue (w/free shipping!) I waited about 30 minutes and while I was sitting there, one of the items in my cart disappeared. When I tried to reorder it, it said, "This item can no longer be ordered.":mad:

When I finally got a rep, she said you could only get free shipping AFTER the 20% discount, BEFORE tax is added to to your total and IF you order a Disney Parks Authentic Merchandise item. Whew!

I asked her about the item that disappeared from my cart to see if I could order it through her, she said, "I can see we will be getting more, but right now we are sold out. Sorry." Oh well. I guess I will wait for the next sale...
 
For the items not showing up in cart, it is being added. If you click on "checkout," the items you placed in the cart will show up there. I don't know about the checkout/credit card issues though.
 
Add me to the list of people so frustrated at their website. I lost my order twice ...was on hold for 27 min the first time and 19 minutes the 2nd time. Ended up with multiples of everything since it added them to my cart but wouldn't let me see it...had problems picking the state I lived in upon checkout, etc.

Yes, I got charged $5 shipping for the $15 make-up bag :headache: but I figured they just didn't include that in the free shipping. I didn't argue it.

With items already on sale + 20% off + 10% cashback for Ebates + 2% cashback on my credit card + $5 gc for buying those shatterproof ornaments (another thread), I was happy. It just took over 4 hours to do a simple transaction.
 
I had the same problem, it would not show items I added to the cart. So I kept clicking trying to add:headache: Finally I went to checkout and yes it showed everything I had clicked on multible times. So then I had to go in and delete those items from my cart. It took me a 1/2 hour to process my order. I got the 20% off. But in my frustration I forgot to order something so when it totalled it looked like I made the $75 for free shipping but, I was off about $5 as I was up to about $90. But after the discount it dropped below and I did not get the free shipping. If I had added the missing item I would have received free shipping no problem. :mad:

But on the plus side, I did get my GD the Snow White costume for her trip to WDW next summer at 20% off.princess:

I don't think mine accepted that $5.00 credit, but the thing was so wacky while I was trying to order I gave up trying to figure it out! I shopped on Thanksgiving day and you didn't need to order a park item for the free shipping for $75. I had the same issues with things not going into the cart, then POOF! 3 Dooney bags..then when I tried to enter the code for the $15 Dooney bag it said I didn't qualify, even though the wristlet I'd picked out had the note at the bottom saying it did,..but then I read a review on the one I'd picked and the reviews said the snap would pop open and your stuff would fall out, so I changed my choice and then the cosmetic bag got added without me doing anything. Yes..I had the shipping taken off, but not all of it, so I guess that was the additional charge to ship the TINY cosmetic case...still it was a good deal with all the discounts..and the increaced cash back at SR (if it works..the whole thing was so messed up I wonder if it will register as an SR purchase..and then my CC cash back..nice deal. But yes...MAJOR problems with the shopping..Overloaded I'm sure..I was even havng trouble with Amazon lightning deals pages loading..so I'm sure the internet trafffic is nuts.

If you call the Disney Store and ask them to retroactively apply the $5 credit from the Shatterproof ornaments, they will do it. That's what I did. Now I was on hold for 19 minutes just to get the $5 credit ...

But when we got the $5 credit for those shatterproof ornaments, they didn't provide a PIN # for us...so we can't enter it under the normal Disney Gift Card. It has to be entered in manually from a CM.

So I figured the $4.99 they charged for shippping that little Dooney makeup bag was offset by the $5 credit.
