Disney Store Grand Opening - Milton Keynes 25/09/10

Iwas in there today & was disappointed tbh - the shop is smaller than the old one! Don't get me wrong it is is nicely done but feels really compact, don't know what it will be like when it's really busy.

It's not a small lot either! It's where USC and Label used to be and had an upstairs! So god knows how big their stockroom must be up there

They definately have Vinylmations in MK although they only have the same as they are selling online.....Toy Story, Have a laugh & the plain coloured ones.

Thanks for the info! I already have a case of Toy Story that I got sent over from Disneyland, so I'm looking for an extra chaser to complete the second set. I prefer to pick them out myself instead of buying online.

I have to agree with you. I went in last Saturday and thought the shop to be a lot smaller than the previous one and with all the stands with items on it seemed really cramped. The tree detail and the lighting did look nice but it was just too cramped for my liking. I dread to think what it will be like in there when it is busy!

I didnt realise it had moved, trying to remember where USC was now.

It's on the same side as the old one just further down more in the middle than at the end. Next to Barratts, by the entrance at Crown Walk if that helps.

A crowd of about 300 people turned up for the Grand Opening Celebration by Minnie Mouse of the new Milton Keynes Disney Store today .

After the opening celebration meet and greets were hosted by Mickey and Minne Mouse and Princess Belle and the Beast. They were also joined by Paige O'Hara, best known as the voice of Princess Belle in the Oscar winning animated classic and Beauty and the Beast.

It is a lovely store but was very very crowed today. The staff all have nice new uniforms and a few were wearing Pin Trading lanyards and DW and I did some trading with them.

I checked out the DisneyBrit podcast photos taken at the new store today.
Looks like it was a great day would have loved to have been there!
