disney store discount

I have been out of the loop for a little while due to a family crisis, so forgive me if this has been addressed recently.

My husband purchased some gifts at the Disney Store and presented his DVC member card for a discount and was told we no longer get one since the store is no longer under Disney ownership. Is this the case? Can we get a discount at Disneydirect.com?

Alas, this is correct. The DS is now owned by the Children's Place, so we no longer get the discount. And no, we do not get a discount at disneydirect.com.
But I wish we did!

Sorry to say but we do not get the discount any longer. The Children's Place bought Disney Store so they are no longer part of Disney.

Also, we do not get a discount through Disneydirect.com.

Disney store discount is gone. Disney hasn't owned the stores since December.

There is no official discount at disneydirect.com, but if you check-out mousesavers.com, there is almost always a discount code in effect that will save a few bucks, give free shipping, etc.
