Hey gang - having trouble getting a reservation at a hotel TS, and looking at DIsney Springs on Columbus day weekend - Sunday. I was not sure I wanted to head to Disney Springs because of crowds, there are many QS choices I would like to try but at dinner - seems like it may be a struggle relaxing.

I am thinking of Splitsville or House of Blues.... seems liek my family of 5 can get a reservation. Thinking the decision may be potential live music or TV's to see NFL. ANy recent experience in either of these post Covid?

thanks!

Never been in Splitsville but we love HoB. Not sure the TV situation there though. We are going end of Nov and I booked our Sunday at the new City Works Pour House via Open Table. Because we have never been there (it's new) and because they have tons of TVs (for DH to watch NFL). I also read good reviews. ANd I like to book on Open Table when I can because it doesn't take a CC and charge a no show fee like Disney does. Open Table has many DS restaurants on it. Also can get a resie on there easier than the Disney ADR system. Try it out.

Thanks for Link.....you were right, no reservations on WDW, but was able to snag a 5pm slot on open table! thanks again!

Our experience at House of Blues was mixed. Some entrees and desserts were top notch while others were not. Haven't been to Splitsville so we would probably give HOB as second chance first.

Splitsville has good food. We like the House of Blues but the food is inconsistent.

Another fan of House of Blues. The Shrimp & Grits are awesome. Has outdoor seating area and live music in the past, not sure now.

We had dinner at HoB this week - it's a favorite of ours (mostly due to the bread pudding...). They did have a few tables outside + live music on the patio out front.

I've only tried the sushi while bowling at Splitsville and it was fine - we need to try an actual meal there sometime!

Just a note: we often end up at HoB because we never have to wait for a walk-in. They hold a lot of space for walk-in's and with Cirque not open, there isn't as much traffic on that end. They were doing good business on Sunday night but were seating even large parties almost immediately. It's a big place.

OMG, THANK YOU for this information. I had no idea I could make DS reservations on Open Table. We are really wanting to eat at The Boathouse on Christmas Day and I was so nervous about getting it when the 60 day mark opened up on Disney dining, but I was able to make one on Open Table already with no problem :worship:

I love Open Table. Wish more Disney dining venues were on it.

We have a party of nine people and have not been able to make reservations anywhere. I just tried open table and no success there either. Any ideas?

You’re probably going to have to split the group up into smaller parties. Or call the dining number and speak to someone.

We'll be nine as well - for the week leading up to Christmas! We're expecting to split our party for most restaurants. I'm going to look for 6 + 4 because I've often seen reports that the system doesn't handle odd numbers (parties of 5 or 3) very well. Someone on another board with a party of 9 reported booking their ADRs for the week as 5 + 4, then calling WDW-DINE and having notations made that they were together, so they'll be seated as close together as possible.
