Curious if anyone has stayed at one of the Disney Springs resorts and loved it. If so, which one? Also, if given a choice would you choose a Disney Springs resort over one of the moderates? Why or why not?

You'll get plenty of information on the Disney moderates here, but our Orlando Hotels & Attractions board is the place to go for discussion of the Disney Springs resorts. That's where the DS regulars hang out. :thumbsup2

Thank you!!

better amnesties and larger rooms at DS hotels than at a moderate
But buses are 30 minutes at DS and 20 minutes or less at a moderate
And for MK DS bus drops off at the TTC or Water boat to MK
Moderate drops off in front of MK

depends on your priorities and wishes

We actually looked into a DS hotel for October, but we ended up going with a Pop/BC split stay instead. Some of the biggest deciding factors for me were that we booked through a TA to get a good deal at BC, we absolutely love taking the Magical Express, and the buses at Disney resorts drop you off at the front.

My DH and I stayed at the Doubletree near Disney Springs free on points for 2 nights a couple of years ago. The suite was wonderful and we loved the extra space even with just the 2 of us. We have AP's to cover the parking so we drove to the parks each day. For me, this visit did not feel as "Disney" but you can't beat free. Since then we have returned to French Quarter for our stays on-site or the Dolphin when we can catch a great "senior rate".

We've only stayed offsite once and that was our very first trip which was a LONG time ago. While the DS resort we stayed at was nice enough, I remember the transportation being a PIA. In August, the least amount of extra walking and waiting outside we do, the better I think we'll be. Going to have to throw a few moderates in the pricing mix before deciding.
