for 2020 I see again they have the benefits as if you are staying on Disney property. I am hoping in 2021 they will continue this feature. I want to spend 1 day next April 2021 at the end of our cruise. The rates for on site is outrageous Easter week. Disney Spring are reasonable. My question is in which I can't find, if you go through hotels.com do you still get the benefits of staying at a good neighbor hotel or do you lose this privilege. Nowhere on hotels.com does it mention this perk. Waiting for Capital one to see if they renew their 10 mile offer per dollar spent at hotels.com so I may get some miles for booking. Thanks

Moving this to the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board, where the Disney Springs hotels are discussed. Hopefully someone there can help you out. :)

Make sure you understand where you are booking ...

Disney Springs hotels are NOT Good Neighbor Hotels. The Good Neighbors do not get the EMH/60 day FP+ perks. Never have and likely never will because there are too many. They are only "certified" by Disney to be of certain quality. You do not want a Good Neighbor if EMH/60 day FP+ are important.

Here are the Good Neighbor hotels -

Repeating this for emphasis. A lot of people seem to make this mistake.

In fairness when Disney extended the offer a well known website actually came out and said this was happening for Good Neighbors. It was false as is much of their "breaking" information. And on par, rather than make sure everyone knew that it was not true they mostly let it slide. It's one of those false pieces of info that took on a life of its own.

I just hate if someone books thinking they will get the perks and then be disappointed.

First, PLEASE make sure you read the above posts - there are two categories of hotels in the Disney area:

"Good neighbor hotels" - do NOT get FP and EMH privileges, they just meet a certain minimum Disney "Standard" of service.

"Walt Disney World Official hotels" - seven hotels in the immediate Disney Springs area (plus two in the Bonnet Creek area) that DO get EMH and fastpass privileges.

If you book one of the WDW official hotels through a 3rd party (hotels.com, Hotwire, Priceline, Expedia, etc) you get all the privileges of the hotel. They don't care where you book from, you get the privileges for staying in the hotel. In the photo on the 3rd party website for the hotel listing, you should see a "WDW OFFICIAL" seal in the picture, but if you're not sure, just look up the hotel directly and see if they have the WDW Official seal on their website.
