Disney Springs, IMO, isn't worth the headache of a 45 minute bus trip from most of the other Disney Resorts. When EPCOT suffered attendance issues during its initial opening, Disney elected to expand the monorail to EPCOT so guests were more likely to visit. If Disney Springs fails to pull in the crowds after Disney has spent millions on its new developments, I think expanding the monorail would be the key factor to draw guests in to visit.
