Boo! Hate hate hate the new set up. Did I mention I hate it? You have to hike forever to get to the bus area and if you are not one of the front stops you have to hike some more.

It is so bad that the next trip I plan to do some shopping it will mean staying at POR or POFQ. It is that bad.

What was Disney thinking? "Hey lets find a way to discourage guests from shopping"?

Every theme park bus depot requires more walking to get to some resorts than to others. The new DS depot requires a bit more than some others because it was designed to have a dedicated load zone with adequate queue space for each resort, because it was designed to accommodate articulated buses, and because it was oriented to make the best use of limited space. Disney has reduced the walking somewhat by having most buses drop off at the front of the depot rather than in the load zones.

It's as centrally located as it could be, because, in the past, having multiple stops at DS increased the time to get in and out.

While I understand the 'why' of the design, I'm also less than thrilled with it. For those of us that really don't care about the upscale shops, it makes a long, convoluted walk to get a bus back to your resort.
I seldom walked over to the Cirque area, stayed mostly in the Marketplace area, so getting to the buses is now a huge pain.
But, others love the new shops and the village layout. I just feel a huge need to spend time there now.
