Disney Springs - arrival and parking

Last trip to Disney Springs was before the big remodel. We will be driving over from the Beach Club and spending the day before heading to an airport hotel. Where is the best place to park and is there a particular route we should use to reach that spot to park? I will be the navigator so I would appreciate some really specific instructions - like which lane to be in, how many lights before turns etc. A smooth arrival experience will help keep moods happy!

I suggest following the signs and parking in the Lime or Orange garage. The signs will show how many spots are available.

You can turn either left or right when exiting the resort; Epcot Resorts Blvd. is a horseshoe. You'll turn left onto Buena Vista Dr. (BVD for short). In about a mile you'll pass under Epcot Center Drive (the I-4 & airport exit). Just past that is the entrance to Typhoon Lagoon on the right. (The right turn lane is for TL only.) Immediately after passing the TL entrance, there's a ramp on the right that leads to the Orange Garage.

Those are electronic signs, so they'll change if the garage is full. The Orange Garage has 2 walkways to DS, one at each end. The end on your right as you enter is closer to the center of DS.

The map in the PP is old and does not show the new Grapefruit Garage, which is across the street from the Lime Garage. To get to the Lime Garage, which is closest to the Marketplace but fills up more frequently, you would need to continue on BVD past all 3 garages and make a U-turn from the left lane, at the eastern end of Lime & Grapefruit.

We will be arriving about 11 on a Sunday in early August. Think there will be space in Lime?

My advice would be not to overthink it. Just follow signs and you'll be fine. Thousands of people drive every day and are just fine.

There are huge signs and everything is clearly marked. Your driver should not have any issues figuring out where to go.

I would recommend using the Orange garage coming in from BC. It’s very easy and the directions and signage take you directly into the garage. There will be lots of parking. The pedestrian exit from the garage takes directly into the middle of Disney Springs at the AMC Theater and the lane to the right leads directly to the World of Disney. Very convenient.

I don't know. There used to be a left turn directly into Lime, but they replaced it with the U-turn when Grapefruit was built. The left turn was always quite busy, which is probably why they replaced it -- to get everyone coming into Lime from the same direction, and get some cars to go into Grapefruit by making it's entrance more visible than Lime's.

I think probably yes, but no guarantees.
