Disney Springs Amphicar Testing

/
I think these are going to be popular! Cool idea. They were such a big deal when I was little.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I wouldn't be too surprised if these showed up briefly and disappeared like so many other uber-cool things--the flying dragon, Muppet Mobile Lab, etc. Truly hope not, because I adore kitsch, and it will be on my must-do list.

Neat! I wonder how this will work. Diners only, a charge, lines?

They will be "Guided Tours" so it sounds like Guests won't actually pilot them.

I'm SURE there will be a fee-my "guess" is they will be first-come/first-serve open to anyone during operating hours of The Boathouse.:)

I honestly thought this was an April Fools joke when the "testing" took place on 4/1. Are these for real?

Yeah if they are going to be guided tours a duck would be better they can fit more guests. But I know they are dwindling in

I love the duck rides in the dell's it's nice to only live 15 min from them had an awesome fall ride last year

A company bought out the plans from the *Aguacar* Company that built them for a few years in the 60's and have upgraded them and are building them.....These new ones will be cool.

Thanks for posting.

Ah, so you think the Disney ones will be new, so the gig on Gas Monkey was just promo? I actually would feel better about them if they are new LOL. I'm also hoping my seat cushion could "become" a flotation device, if necessary! ;)

These things sit so low in the water, I'll bet they're very easy to swamp... Don't know if that would sink one, but I wouldn't want to test that theory.
