Hi all! I've seen a few posts re: snowglobes. I too would like to avoid ebay since I feel like the fees and shipping are a pain but I haven't seen any answers to other forums where I might be able to sell them. Also if anyone has sold their globes before and had to ship them I would love some packing pointers :)

I have sold several of my globes on ebay without the original boxes so I can give advice on how to ship them. I wrap them top-to-bottom several times with the large bubble wrap (not small bubbles) and then wrap side to side. Surround the globe with packing peanuts or shredded paper in the box, then double box it for security. The 1st couple I sold were not double boxed and they were broken during shipping so I quickly learned my lesson. It can get expensive paying for packing items so I would suggest trying to find someone local to sell them to before trying ebay. Most globes will not sell for more (or even same amount) nthat you payed for them so u could take a big loss because of ebay fees and packing costs.
Try putting an ad in paper or just mentioning it thru facebook etc to see if anyone is interested in buying them. I wish you lived close to me, I would love to look at them. I had so many but had to downsize and now just keep/buy the ones my daughter really likes. :-)
