Disney Shopping - Contact Lens Solution, Hair Pins, etc.

Hi everyone,

DD, DH and I are flying to Orlando from Toronto, Ontario on Wednesday. Yay!!!!!! I haven't been in 10 years and DH hasn't been for even longer. DD is 5 and thinks she wants to be Ariel when she grows up.

DH thinks we can limit our luggage to carry on and I'm trying to make it work. From everything I've read, it seems I may get to keep my contact lens solution or not, depending on who's working security at the airport. I've bought the small travel size, even though it's not my regular brand, but if it gets seized where at Disney can I buy a replacement? Does anyone know what brands are available? Also, I need bobby pins for my costume for MNSSHP but might lose those at the airport too. We're staying at Pop Century.

I'm also looking for an Ariel swimsuit for DD. The Disney stores here had them back when I wasn't looking for one, of course. Does anyone know where I might find one?

The resorts usually have a shop where you can buy stuff like saline solution for a price. I'm really hoping I don't have an issue with mine when I fly next month.

Most of the resorts have swimsuits but I'm not sure about a specific character. I'm sure it just depends on their stock at the time.

Your contact lens solution should be fine. I decided to do the "carry-on only" thing on a trip I took a couple of months ago and I was also concerned about my contact lens solution. Since I had heard that they allow full-sized saline solution bottles, I called TSA to ask them if it would be all right to take a full-sized multi-purpose solution bottle. They said that I could, as long as I took it out of my bag and put it in the security bin. I didn't even have to put it in a plastic bag. You might want to contact TSA to be completely sure, though. Oh, by the way, the bobby pins should be fine. I brought a few in my purse and I didn't have a problem. Of course, you should ask TSA to make sure. I hope this helps! Have a wonderful time on your trip!!
