Disney Salutes the Military tickets

DL as of now has not extend the special (again) for the military ticket special to meet up with the WDW dates.

DL special goes till Sep 30th and WDW dates go to Dec 23rd (I think).

I so wish DL would extend the special again and line up with WDW. They may be different parks, but they carry the name (DISNEY).

please DL please extend the dates.

Long time lurker here, I just had to pop in and respond. Disney has extended the “Salute to Heroes” to the end of December for Disneyland. My family and I used this last March for a family visit. And, we have a trip planned next month for the Halloween party and were remarking to CM that we wish it was still around to take advantage of the hotel prices. It was “suggested” to call back every now and again before our trip, because they might extend it. And, they did. We couldn’t get the tickets again, but they honored the discount for the hotel.

I called to make reservations after I saw the 2003 (didn't read the year at the time) posting of this issue and the CM told me that the current Salutes the Military for DL runs out 30 Sep 09 and that they have not extended it.

If you have a # or name or your military base/post offers the free for active duty and under $100 ticket for dependants will you pass this on. Travis AFB is not offering anythig past 30 Sep and again the DL CM said that is all she had in her system.
We would love this discount as would many others.

They did not extend the ticket deal. They did extend the hotel discount.

I just called & it was verified that the ticket offer does end on September 30, and the hotel discount has been extended to 12/23. The discount is 30% off the rate, where normally it is 10%.

I wasn’t sure about the tickets, as we had used that option in March. It sounds like Briarmom has the most current information about the package.

Not sure what Travis is offering, but if you google Presidio of Monterey (POM) and Outdoor Recreation (ODR) it will give you their MWR site that lists ticket and other discounts; I would post the link, but don't have enough posts to. Also,anyone accessing this site should keep in mind that they must be in a uniformed service, their immediate dependents or DoD civilian in order to take advantage.

We will be going October 21 – 25 in order to activate our APs, and are staying at the Paradise Pier. It’s $136.80 (that includes the resort fee) for four nights. The math works out to roughly 46% off. We had looked at the deal through Expedia, but there wasn’t availability through their site. So, we booked the PPH at the regular price through Disney, and kept calling to see if they had extended the Salute to Heroes. My assumption would have been that they would have extended the ticket offer as well. But, that appears to not be the case.

Just go off the phone with a CM booked DL hotel for 139 a night for early Dec and she told me not to buy my tickets in case the promotion gets extended and check with my MWR in a few weeks. Keep our fingers crossed, but I am so happy about the hotel rate!!

we booked the DLH for a great rate $680 (something) for 4 nights and that is taxes etc. SO yes they extended the hotel rate, but all the bases I have called have said no ticket extended past 30 Sep. I have talked with 2 CM's and they say as of now no change in the tickets.

But with some prayers and PD that could change!

And yes as stated above, you must have the correct ID to get these tickets at these prices.

Well if anyone hears that DL extends the offer for tickets, post it here ASAP.
