Don't know if this is the right board for this?

Once I have DDRD's transferred to a Disney Rewards Card, can I use the rewards card towards the purchase of a hotel/ticket package to the World?

Can I use it to pay for meals/shopping that I charged to my room?

If not is it accepted at all restaurants in resorts and theme parks?

Yes, you can use it to pay for your disney cruise and you can apply it to your shipboard account to pay for any and all of your onboard activities, tips, drinks, excursions, photos...

This is how we are going to Disney this year... saved points for two years!!! Only paid $500 and change out of pocket, the rest was reward points.

Not bad for a family of 4!

We should have another 25 - 30 points by the time we head down which we will use in the parks.

We too have done very well with our points... I've been saving for almost 4 years! I have over $1100!

A good tip I learned was this: some of our points were going to expire, so I called and they told me if I transfered my points onto a card they don't expire until the card does and that was another year and a half! So I didn't loose one point.

Also - Get your card now - have all the points transfered to them that you have (assuming you're using them in the next 6 months or so). This assures you will get your card with no problems. But call a week before your trip and have them transfer the rest of your points onto the card! You get the maximum number of points to bring with you, without the stress of waiting for the card to arrive on time.

There is also a spot in Downtown Disney where you can a card. I believe it's just over the bridge heading towards Planet Hollywood. It's the customer service desk and they can also open a new card for you, or move over points onto an existing card.
