Hi Everyone, I am not sure if anyone can answer this for me or not but here it goes....

I have the Disney Credit Card and have saved a very good amount in the points. I will be transfering them onto the Rewards Card. What I would like to know is will the resteraunts take the Rewards Card as if it were a Credit Card. (we are not doing the dinning plan as one of my DD's could care less for kid menues and is 9.-- "Mommy I want reall food.")

The resturants we have ADR's for are:

Cap'n Jacks
Crystel Palace
LTT
Garden Grill
Le Cellier
50's PT
Sci-Fi
Mama Melrose
Chef Mickey's

Has anyone used the Rewards Card at any of these or will I be better off using my Rewards Card with my TA and paying on our trip?

Thank you for any help and suggestions you have for me.

Your rewards card functions as a gift card, and it is indeed good almost anywhere on Disney property. All the places you listed are just fine, although I'm not positive about Cap'n Jack's. I believe that the exceptions are places that are on Disney property, but aren't actually owned by Disney (such as Swan and Dolphin).

Like you, I don't do the dining plan. So I used my rewards card to pay for most meals on my last trip, and it was great.

Have a wonderful time! :)

I've never had my rewards card turned down at any restaurant we've eaten at at Disney.

Are you staying at a Disney resort? If so, you can use your card to pay off your bill. This way you don't have to carry it around and it will help pay for everyting.

I'll be using my rewards card for the first time on our July trip. Can't wait!

Thank you everyone. That is what I wanted to hear.

Yes, we are staying at a Disney Resort. How would that work? Would we give the check-in desk our Rewards Card rather than our Credit Card and have the charging privileges put to the Rewards number instead?

Once again, thank you everyone.

I used my rewards card at Narcoossee's a couple of years ago.

I just did this last week. We had $500 on our rewards card. When I checked into AKL, I gave them the rewards card 1st. She put it on our acct so all our room charges would go thru that 1st. Then I gave her the Disney Visa card for any charges once the rewards card was used. Our last day the check out bill showed that the $500 was used 1st & then how much was left over that was charged to our visa.
This made it so much easier, so you only have to carry your room card & not worry about which restaurants or stores will accept the rewards card.
A friendly Diser told me about this b4 our trip.:flower3: Valuable info! Now I can pass it on to you!:thumbsup2

I don't see Narcoossee's on that list. The list is called "Most Popular". Does anyone know if Narcoossee's accepts the rewards card?

I've never been to Narcossee's but some day I have to get there sounds like a great place and I so not know the answer. Money we had on our card we usually bought our resort mugs and spent the remainder over Epcot stores, went the last 2 years and also going this year so card doesn't have time to gain too much. Maybe someone else can answer the question.

Just an FYI - I use our rewards card for all of our CS meals, too. Never had a problem with it.

At some of the more expensive TS's the waiters have asked if I have enough dollars to cover the meal. Not sure why, but maybe it's a pain if they have to apply the card and do the rest in cash or whatnot.

The remainder of your card will show on your receipt so you may want to keep those with you.

Thank you. Sounds like this will be easyer than I had hoped. This is a great tip. I don't like to carry anything with us other than the must haves... less cards to keep track of the better.

Thank you again.

it is easy they we took the card to the parks and they swip it like a credit card and on the sales slip it tells you the balance you have remaining.

So glad I found this thread! I was wondering how to pay off the hotel bill with the card - love that I can just give it to them when we check in and not have to worry about losing it during the trip!

I used my rewards card for everything. It was awesome. "Almost" like free money! :thumbsup2

I am glad I found this thread because I have checked the list and it does not have many of the places we are eating on there so it is good to know that we do have more choices-Whether we decide to use our rewards card or just add it to our room key. We can use it to eat at any restaurant. Thanks so much for the info!!!!:goodvibes
