Disney Rewards card for tips?

We have $84 on our disney rewards card that expire 12/11 - we're heading to the world in November. We're on the dining plan and I wondered if we could use the rewards card for tips at the TS meals?

I'd hate to lose the dollars - we really don't buy souvenirs any more- I'm sure we could find something if we had to....

Wondered if anyone has ever done this before?

We never used ours that way but I was under the impression that you could. I think you can basically use them for anything at wdw.

what you can do is one of 2 things

1. transfer the rewards dollars to your rewards card and present this card to pay the tip.

2. this is more hassle, but might make it easier. transfer the rewards dollars to the rewards card. present your room key for the dining plan AND the tip. stop by the hotel front desk and pay off any room charges with the rewards card. this way you wont inadvertently get charged for the meal on the rewards card.
