disney rewards card? Can you give the rewards to a family member

Weird question.

My mother has the new Disney rewards card and I have one on her account with my name on it. I actually pay the bill on it.

I could not get approved for the card. I had some identity theft and my credit is shot.

My question is since i have a card on her account can i use the rewards when I go to Disney? I read you go to the guest desk and they will give them to you on a card. But will it work since I am not the main person on the account.

My DH is the main person on our Chase Disney Visa, but I manage all the funds. I ordered the Rewards Card online, and online transferred all of our rewards to the card. Never had to speak to anybody. Since you manage the account, you should be able to as well (its kind of hidden on the Chase site), but there's instructions ...

In the past, when I have gotten a reward card in the park they just asked to see my Visa so they can attach it, never asked who the main cardholder was, then I called to transfer the rewards ... can't remember if they asked to speak to DH to transfer the DDRDs or not, but I probably did it myself. I think as long as you are listed as an additional cardholder on the account and have a physical Disney Visa, you should be fine.

I think the rewards card can be used by anyone. My friend's mom gifted me hers for our last trip. It didn't have any name on it and I used it just as I would a gift card.

It was an unexpected $300 to our trip budget

Now, this was an already requested and received card. So I didn't have to go to guest services or anything. She had already received the card and transferred the points/money.

Anyone can use the rewards redemption card. I would get it prior to your trip instead of going to guest relations. Not because they would question it, but just to save you time. Have a great trip.

Yes, the rewards card is similar to a GC, because if it's lost or stolen, you are out of luck
