Disney Reward Dollars

Forgive the hijack here!!

I, too, have a Disney card only because we knew we were going to be taking a cruise and I wanted to earn the points.

Can someone PLEASE tell me how I "get them". Right now my balance is at about 60 but I have just paid for the cruise in full and our flight. I think I'm getting 50 bonus points for booking and I'm getting some from AAA. Our cruise is at the end of May. Do I just call the card company sometime in April and request them? Do I get a debit type card that I can use at WDW and on the cruise??

I am a newbee too but i just went to - Bankone.com/disney and had to sign up to log in etc....It took me to a page where I saw how many dollars i had- 308 (I am estatic!!!) I told them to send me all 308!!! They said they will ship by 1/21 and I should get the card by 1/28. The final payment on our cruise is
Feb. 11 with Dreams Unlimited so it sounds to me that I can jsut call them and give them some numbers over the phone and we should be all set!!! How easy! Usually I make my dh do this kind of stuff but that was pretty simple!

Oops- forgot to tell you- They can express it to you for $10.00. I've read several times on these threads (I am a lurker) that it takes a month to get your rewards card, but like I said in my above points, it should only take like 9 days. We will continue to use this credit card and get another card before our cruise for our drinks and spa treatments. I guess you can even use them for tipping!!

It took less than two weeks for us to get the Rewards Card. Also, note that once you have the card, you don't need to order another---just call and they will "recharge" your card with the additional Rewards Dollars earned.

Oh great! I didnt know that you didnt need a new card. If we are leaving for Orlando on April 11th and our cruise is the 14th, when should I transfer the dollars over?

I called Monday 1-17 to redeem my points, and received my card Wed 1-19.
Fast Service!
Lets hope I get my Cruise Documents as fast!!!!

Oh great! I didnt know that you didnt need a new card. If we are leaving for Orlando on April 11th and our cruise is the 14th, when should I transfer the dollars over?

My understanding is that if you call to recharge your card, it happens immediately.
