Hi, We purchased Disney mugs a couple of years ago. We were told that as long as you own the mug, you can bring it down on vacation and the re-fills on drinks was free!! Does anyone know if that is still allowed??
thanks

Were these OKW or BWV mugs? I think I have heard there is a difference in how the two resorts handle these mugs. We had our first stay at OKW last December and bought one of their mugs. I know when we used to stay at DXL they refilled mugs we had purchased on previous trips but haven't tried it as DVC members. We will be visiting the BWV in October so I am anxious to see what responses you get.

BWV does not have a refillable mug program. But I wish they did.

Zurg Just so you know the boardwald does have a refill mug. You can buy it at the bakery and fill it up there and by the pool as well. Not sure of anywhere else on Boardwalk but those 2 places will fill it up.

I thought the only resorts that had the mug programs were the ones that had the drink island like port and carib. I've never seen an OKW mug.

Just returned from DxL, now Port Orleans Riverside. I saw a few people with "older" DxL mugs using them as refills and was told that whenever we return to bring them and we can refill them at PO Riverside and PO French Quarter. Sorry about not answering regarding DVC properties.

Just returned this past weekend from the BWV and the mugs were $3.50 or $3.95 I believe with refills being $0.91 at the Bakery and the Pool Bar. You could refill with tonic, coffee or hot chocolate. The same cups but different design are $8.95 with free refills at the All Star Resort.

People actually bring their mugs from previous years??? Sorry but that seems to be strecthing it a bit. I think I've got 3 PO mugs, 2 WL, 3 BC, etc. I can't imagine packing a mug to re-use on the next vacation. My apologies but give me a break....

I have just started to use this site for info. on Disney and DVC. I LOVE IT!!! Thanks to all that replied to my question!!!

okw does not refill for free either - but Wl (and now VWL) does - the mug is two sizes $8.95 and $9.95 and refill are free for life. because of VWL, WL may chance the policy in the future.

We had mugs that we bought at Coronado Springs a couple of years ago. Took them back this December and used them again. I don't see anything wrong with that if it's allowed. The mugs haven't changed since we bought our originals in 1998.

I don't see anything wrong w/ it either!!! My kids(3)think it's fun to pack the mugs!
That's the first thing that they put in their suitcases.
Thanks
Doug
