That is the Acadian House in the Magnolia Terrace section. We loved it!!!! That was taken from the side-we had a corner room with 2 windows!!

My son & I are staying at POR for our Nov/Dec trip & we really want to stay in one of the mansions. I was going to request Magnolia Terrace but it looks like Acadian House is just as lovely. I guess since they are next door they share some things like a quiet pool? Is the gazebo between the 2 or is it situated at one mansion in particular? I fell in love with that gorgeous path with lighted arches leading to the gazebo. I can't wait to see it in person!

I have reserved a standard room - would getting a corner room require an upgrade? I just can't wait - thanks so much for sharing your photos!

OK..here's the first of several shots I enjoy from my previous 3 trips. This first one was taken a couple of years ago on an early morning stroll around Crescent Lake. It's a shot of SAB just outside the YC. Looks so peaceful and calm early in the morning doesn't it?

I can't see either pic posted. Can you repost again? Am anxious to see them!

We had just booked a standard room & ended up with that corner room. I had faxed a request 3-4 days before for a room in the Magnolia Bend section, non-smoking with a king bed & I got everything but the king bed. The gazebo is off to the left of Magnolia Terrace kind of between it & the Acadian house & it was convenient to a quiet pool as well. I thought it was a great place to stay--just walk across Old Man's Island by the pool & across the bridge & you are at the main buildings.
