Disney resort credit?

I know that a lot of times people will have credits when they've applied a discount to their room that has already been paid for, and then leave the credit for spending money on their room key, so is it crazy to actually send in more money than is owed for our room?

I don't mean months in advance, just a few weeks. I hate having to pull out my check register every time we eat or buy something. It makes the trip so miserable for me since I'm such a frugal worrier and I refuse to dip into our line of credit or use credit cards.

We're also going to the beach for a few days beforehand, so I know I'll be constantly calculating how much we have left for Disney It would be great to feel as if our meals were all paid for before we leave! (That's one reason I love cruises.)
