disney reservations letting you book longer than 11 months out

I am not a dvc member ,but I will be buying pts. for a vacation 12/3/05-12/10/05 at BWV. The DVC member is booking each day of the vacation 11 months out. I just went on disney reservations online to see how much of a difference the price was from renting pts to rack rate and it would have allowed me to book the whole reservation for the week. How is that possible if dvc members cannot book the whole week.

Disney reserves rooms for cash in its inventory. So there are two categories of reservations, cash ressies and points. Cash ressies are made just like any non DVC resort reservation.

Points reservations fall under the DVC rules and booking windows.
