Disney Reservation Disaster

My partner and I have made numerous trips to the Walt Disney World Resort. We have stayed onsite at every deluxe hotel and some of the Disney Vacation Club resorts. In August I booked a deluxe room at the Wilderness Lodge Resort. At the end of August the Annual Passholder Rates came out so I called and was told I could re-book a deluxe room at the concierge level. So I did. I was gathering my tickets and noticed on the confirmation it only states concierge. So I called up and was told they have no deluxe rooms on the concierge level. I explained what I was told and that we are heading to the resort Tuesday 10/21/03. I was passed over to the Asst. Hotel Manager for the Wilderness Lodge. He stated he would have to talk to someone tomorrow and see what they could do. I've stayed at this resort before and the standard rooms are way to small compared to the other deluxe resorts. So now we are up in the air as to what we are gong to end up with. I was curious if anyone else has had problems with reservations??

I also had a problem with reservations. I booked a room at the Beach Club for 4 nights with a triple AAA discount on a standard room. When I got my confirmation, I noticed that she had only booked the room for one night. So I called to change it and they told me no standard rooms and there were no rooms at the deluxe level with a triple A discount. I was out of luck. I had to switch to the WL because I couldnt afford that price. I tried to talk to the CM but she said there was nothing she could do. OH WELL. Luckily mine was for a couple of months away. Sorry to hear about your reservation mixup.. They should be more careful.

Bausemer, a similar mistake happened to me earlier this year (for a different resort). I was told that there was nothing that could be done. At first I was disappointed, and then I slowly began to forget about it. My life has changed so much since that point anyway, that now I have a completely different room booked for my trip -- a concierge handicap room. I'll be seeing WDW from a whole new perspective. :)

I have only stayed at the WL once, and it was in a standard room. I am not very familiar with the various categories of rooms at that resort, but if they have a deluxe room on a non-concierge floor, perhaps they could book the deluxe room for you and give you concierge access. If they can't do that for all of the days of your stay, perhaps they could do it for at least a few of them. Be willing to work with them. Mistakes happen and I am so sorry this has happened to you.

I hope your situation can be resolved, but if it can't, I hope you have a wonderful time at the WL anyway.
