This is a local story, so I don't know if it has made it to the podcasters yet...T, get some tissues...
Last month in nearby Hudson, MA, someone stole a bronze statue of a dancing hippo from Fantasia from the grave of a four year old girl, who passed away in 2009 from brain cancer.
The statue had been discontinued, and none were to be found.
Its a symbol of her love of her hippo that was with her through her entire illness. Her hippo is buried with her, thats how much it meant to her, Erins mom Michelle Roderick told WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mark Katic.
On Thursday, Disney called Michelle. They heard about the story, tracked down the original mold, and had a new statue cast, and it was on its way to Florida to be painted.
