I honestly want to know from you....based on my situation...do you really truly believe I could not make my mind up from reading other peoples experiences?

10 day non expiring ticket with hopper...Why exactly would I choose to go now, as opposed to when everything is more settled.

You are very into people answering questions...So Ill like to know why I would go now...Without disboards I would not be aware of most of these changes...its all rainbows, unicorns, sunshine from Disney.

I think it is a reasonable conclusion to take awhile off and let them gets their ducks in a row (pardon the pun)

Im just not interested in wasting 1 or 2 of those tickets to "find out" (even though I already know, since i was there)

Just looked it up, Universal hotels for the period I used were between 275 and 320 per night; Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge were 280 to 330 per night for the same period. My math skills are fine.

Just looked it up, Universal hotels for the period I used were between 275 and 320 per night; Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge were 280 to 330 per night for the same period. My math skills are fine.

1. Those are Disneys lowest priced deluxe hotels.

2. Location. Comparatively only Gf, contemp, poly and the boardwalk hotels are the only ones fairly comparable.

3. Annual passes for US are 270ish for initial purchase and $157 to renew. Go to Universals site and under promo code enter "aph". Them tell us the difference between Disneys worst deluxe hotels and Universals best. To be fair you can let us know what Disneys ap rate is as well.

You also may only be able to get 3 Fast Passes but you have more attractions available than you did under the old system. That seems to be a positive to me.

Yes, however by your train of thought consumer digest shouldn't even exist. Why review what you think of product? You should physically test it yourself. I think alot of people understand what is going on and have had enough experience at Disney to understand wait times and what the lack of fast passes does to their trips.

Do I still have to pay 5 grand to test drive it...? If the answer to that is yes (and it is) --- You might want to pick some better analogies

The value, however, is not the same. The US tickets are cheaper per day, and with your on-site hotel stay you get FOTL to every ride but the FJ and the RRR. More benefits for on-site members makes for a better deal. Universal also has all of the little "perks" that Disney has, for less. They have a photo package, they have a dining plan, and their all day meal deal is one of the best values in town.

Yes, I know there are only two parks there, but those two parks pack a big punch. Rather than spend one or two days of a 7 day vacation up I-4, people who are critical of FP+ are taking three and four days. People who would have never considered going to Universal before are now looking at it as a serious alternative. They won't be disappointed.

I don't think that's the case for many of the people (especially on the DIS) who are WDW Vets. If you've been enough times and have a way of touring that works for you, it's very easy to tell whether or not FP+ is going to work for you or not.

But how is that helpful if you can only FP 3 of them?

You can't compare the system to Universal's. Universal Express has Fastpass beat on every level.

Very valid points rip. I have stayed at both universal deluxes and Disney deluxes. It has been ten years and I can still stay at a rate very close to what I did 10 years ago at universal. Can't say the same for Disney. I am comparing contemporary and poly to royal pacific and hard rock.
