Disney really needs to educate their phone reservationists...

I just called to reserve a room (AP rate) and DxDDP for a quick weekend stay coming up...

The convo went something like this...

CM: "Do you want to add the dining plan?"

Me: "Yes, deluxe dining plan"

CM: "So do you want the 3 meal plan or the 2?"

Now, I figured out what she meant, she was calling the DxDDP the 3 meal plan. But this is not exactly correct, as all of us "Disney dorks" know. There are many differences between the dining plans, and simply calling it the "3 meal plan" is VERY misleading to people who have not done their research. Just sayin.

This is consistent with my past experience with CRO...the knowledge level of its CMs is remarkably inconsistent. Disney can do a lot to imporove this, IMO.

I agree, the answers can vary on many things. I tried to give one cast member my exact arrival time for DME and he said they didn't need it. I was actually calling to get extra ME tags because I knew I would have more than one piece of luggage. He also said that couldn't be done and I didn't really need them anyway. Because of the boards I called ME directly and the guy told me my flight arrival time and departure time did matter and added " I wish the wouldn't keep saying that". The nice ME changed things for me and sent me my ME tags ( even the extra ones, back in Sept). It pays to read these boards, but so many people just don't know and aren't given good information. Not always, I have had some very knowledgeable cast members too.

Exactly. The online chat ones are the worst. It pays to do your research if possible and never ask a question (of a CM) that you don't already know the answer to. Lol
