My wife and I just got back from a trip to Universal. It was my first trip since the parks first opened and my wife had never been. Of course, we hold all theme parks to Disney's standards but whether or not that's fair is up for discussion. We wanted to see how the parks were before bringing out two DD's there for their first visit. Anyways, we were both shocked at how many people stand in lines at Universal and IOA drinking alchohol. Although I no longer drink, it doesn't really bother me when others do, but it seemed like some of the people who were doing it didn't have any moderation. One man had to be escorted from one of the attractions for making an obscene joke very loudly. Having said all that brings me to the point of how family oriented Disney is, and it's not just the parks, but the people who go themselves. Even though alchohol is served at the parks, I can't ever recall walking or standing in line next to someone who had obviously had quite a bit to drink. Kudos to Disney for truly being the family vacation destination!
