Hey guys! so my sweet sixteen is in september but of course being the avid disney fan that I am i've already picked the theme "disney princesses" what else?! haha anyway I was wondering if any of you have had this theme before even if you've never even been to a sweet sixteen can u tell me ways to decorate that aren't too expensive and maybe ideas for invites or whatevs u can think of I know that everyone here is definitely an expert on disney fun so go ahead give me some ideas :) princess:

im actually starting princess parties for little girls. :3

any party store youll go you can find disney princess/princess items.
do you have a favorite princess? its easier to do a theme that way, but if not, a grand pink fairy tale is really easy to do.

for invitations:
you can use plastic crowns from the dollar store
use paper that looks kind of "olden" and use fancy script
for a particular princess :
snow white: apples
aurora: crowns, fairies, woodlawn animals (owl?)
ariel: sea shell, fish, forks
jasmine: tigers, arabian/indian trinket box (iparty has them)
cinderella: tiny "glass" slippers, pumpkins, mice
belle: rose, book

remember glitter and fresh flowers. :3

also, investing in pink (or whatever) colored fabrics to drape over chairs or from the ceilings can make a royalty look.

think about the place settings and china you want to use. tea cups?

invite everyone to come either dressed as a princess of choice, or in somethign princessy like a left over homecoming/prom dress.

im just tossing things around. :]

thats a really good idea! for your table center pieces you could use what DollfieDreams said:
snow white: apples
aurora: crowns, fairies, woodlawn animals (owl?)
ariel: sea shell, fish, forks
jasmine: tigers, arabian/indian trinket box (iparty has them)
cinderella: tiny "glass" slippers, pumpkins, mice

pink EVERYWHERE!
the invites as crowns with the "old" (burnt) paper was really good too!
GLITTER!!
i hope its great! MAKE SURE TO POST PICS! ;)

these are really cool ideas thnx so much keep them comin please<3 :) and dollfiedreams wouldn't it be cool if each table was a different princess' "table" :) and omygoodness i think i found my perfect dress that is in a dress store right by me what do you guys think? I want to look like belle, which reminds me what would be a good way to phrase not to dress in yellow politely?

aww im glad you like the ideas! i'll surf around and see if i can come up with something else!

i love the idea of each table being a different princess!
you could add tinker bell to the mix for a lovely fairy themed table. :3

and a polite way to say that you are belle at the party would be something like "the role of belle will be held by our one and only birthday girl.please feel free to come as any other princess that you'd like!"

and that dress is GORGEOUS.

OMG! that dress is absolutely beautiful!!!
if i were having a sweet 16 i would want that dress. but instead im going to turks and cacos for a week with a friend or two and my family. and the table idea (idr if i posted it or not) but i thought of that idea too. that would be really cute.

I had a Cinderella sweet sixteen!

we had pumpkin pie instead of cake. One game was trying on a slipper (some nice prom style shoes) and whoever fit them best got to take them home. And of course it included a cinderella movie marathon, Ever After, A Cinderella, and the original Disney version. We almost did a bit of a project runway game where we took old ugly velvet dresses from GoodWill and cut them up and made them better. We didn't get around to it, but instead we decorated plain white flip flops with crystal gems and flowers and ribbons.

It was a smaller party though.

oh my gosh! i wish i could come :]
sounds like fun [;

that dress is amazing! you make me want to have my sweet 16 as disney princesses!
