I once heard the following Indian legend:
In ancient days when India was divided into many countries, a king was traveling incognito around the country one day, and he saw a bunch of kids playing war. One side was heading by a girl, who was directing the her group to fight. She was so good that the king was impressed. So the king brought her to the palace and had her properly trained in military strategy, and then married her to the prince.
Then the king died unexpectedly, and the young prince didn’t know how to fight. A neighboring country, seizing the opportunity, invaded the country. The princess then mobilized the army herself and directed the soldiers to battle. The soldiers were doubtful at first about the female general, but they were soon won over when her brilliant strategies crushed the enemies.
Disney can design dresses out of the Indian sari, draw a palace as stunning as the Taj Mahal, and have a huge battle scene. Doesn’t that sound awesome?
