I am sure this is on here somewhere but I was reading in my Disneyland book about the Princess Fantasy Faire. It says there is arts and crafts?? is this true?? what else is going on there??? can anyone tell me

thanks

Sadly, it has gone because of the economy. Will it return for the busy season? I don't know. They have pared out the storytelling and crafts and left just the meet/greet, expensive princess dresses and such, and the make-up/face painting area. It was really sad going earlier this month and seeing the empty storytelling stage. I really hope that they bring it back, but as of now, it is a shadow of its former self. Princess Meet and Greet with shopping!

Whats Princess Meet and Greet with shopping?

FWIW the arts and crafts meant a Burger King style crown that you could stick stickers on, and some coloring sheets with crayons. It was something nice to do, but not a big deal at all. So the place feels emptier without it, but in reality you're not missing something huge...that said they should bring it back. :)

Oh is this true? I was planning on setting aside at least an hour to do this with the girls. I loved the pictures of the princesses dancing with the kids and was looking forward to the storytelling.

Sadly, it is true. I'm really hoping they bring it back at some point. One of the biggest highlights for me of any DL trip was watching my 3yo dd dance with the princesses :sad1:

argh...yet another thing to cross of my may 2009 itinerary! first the POD, now this :(
what's next?!?!?!

Well, you could end up spending at least an hour in line just to see the princesses(or multiple times if you have to see a certain princess and she's not there). I know of a family that stood in the line four different times just to see Cinderella.

oh darn double bummer, first I find out fantasmic! Is in refurb while we will be there now this.
Atleast I have great pics of my girls with the princesses dancing; they loved every minute of this show.
It's really precious how the princesses dance and parade around the girls :lovestruc

Hmmm, may just have to book Ariel's grotto now. What a disappoinment.

Remember, the meet and greet is *still there*. It's just the other stuff...the ceremony and the storytelling (and arts/crafts) that are gone. But you can still stand in line and meet 3 princesses!

My highlight was when my son was asked to dance with Sleeping Beauty during her storytelling. A bit lost on him, as he was exhausted, but it was sweet and lovely.

Then again, he had a good moment while meeting the princesses, too...ended up loving Pocahontas (though he thought she was Sacajawea as we'd had Night at the Museum in heavy rotation the week before the trip) and Princess Minnie, but the first one he met was Belle. She wanted him to sit down, and that involved sitting on her gown...well that was just weird to him...sit on her dress? And it took about 2 minutes to convince him to sit down right next to her. Got the best pictures. He just never warmed up to her (and she got snippy with me b/c I was trying to move him along, knowing her charms were lost on him, but she wanted to keep trying).

Those are the memories that last a lifetime. I love it, how sweet. I'm almost sad to even see the PFF now that the best part is gone. All my kids enjoyed it, even if my oldest won't admit it :)

I should probably mention that it was my son who begged to meet the princesses. We didn't make him do it, and he doesn't have a sister...he just loves princesses (and girls and pretty young women, oh dear).

Just not Belle! :rotfl:
