I wanted to start buying the kids some cheap Disney pins for trading in the summer. There are loads on there, but I'm a bit concerned about whether they will genuine or not.

Does anyone have any tips on buying these from ebay? Is there any way to check if they are genuine once I get them?

Thanks:thumbsup2

We have bought lots of pins from ebay and have never had any trouble.
I would think the only way to tell if they are genuine is once you have them look at the stamps on the back. (Do you have any Disney pins already and know what tye should look like?)

Also try a site like Pin Pics for loads of other information - and to see if the pin you are planning on buying looks the same on both sites

A lot of the cheap pins on ebay are what are known as scrapper pins. They are made from the same moulds as the official pins ordered by Disney and do have the official Disney logo on the back, but are of a lesser quality (missing parts, colours different to the 'real' ones, they ore often thinner or have scratches on them). You can trade them in the parks, but a lot of the collectors who ony buy official pins (which costs $$$!!) do not appreciate them. I did order some from ebay and traded them in the parks without any issues before I learned about scrapper pins, but I personally don't now.

If you go on the collectors board there is a good thread about ebay pins with recommended sellers and sellers to avoid. I always lok at that list before I buy off ebay now.
