I am posting 2 pictures.
1st PIC) DW Shirley and a friend and Fellow CastMember, along with Me in Epcot at the Mouse Gear. You can see by the picture we were avid DIS PIN Collectors. We started collecting back in the 70's when DIS PINS were 29 cents at the Emporium.
This picture was the last day, first day millennium (1999 New Years Eve). The cowboy hat I am wearing was called 'THE HAT' (avatar) on the Collectors Board.
I believe there was 180 + themed pins ; i.e, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, etc, etc, etc. on my pride and joy, 'THE HAT'. You can see we had vests with DIS PINS. My DW was a fierce trader and our collection bounced between 6 and 8 thousand Disney Pins. Flying to Disney was a challenge. Going through security with reams of PIN BOOKS in a carryon that I could not lift. Shirley, Security would like to talk to you.. I always found a trash can to hide in.
Cost finally drove us out of the game. Most sold off, but the GOOOODIES are set aside for the Grandbabys. Also, I did sport a FU MANCHU beard back then. My son said to me ; "when you took your glasses off, you looked like a BAD A**. Who me ??? I was always a Philly Pussycat.

ARE ANY OF YOU CAMPING PEEEEPLES, PIN COLLECTORS ??????

2nd PIC) I caught a bigmouth today fly fishing. Practice for July in WY & MT for the finnies (Frank calls then SWIMMERS) such as rainbow, cutthroat trout.
Now comes the commonality. Can you spot it between the 2 pics. Also, I am not foaming at the mouth. That is my tapered leader. Best place to store it, when it's not in the water.
Spot the commonality and you win a meager prize that I will never buy ! ! !

As an avid pin trader, I can spot that pin trading vest no matter how you use it. You and Shirley were definitely into those pins - I can totally relate. I recognize alot of pins on that vest!!!

I like both pictures !

Funny thing though. We have tons of pictures of fish but none of our few pins. :rolleyes1

Denise, you struck a funny with me this morning when you mentioned pics of fish. Knowing how Frank is so much into fishin', if he had his way, I envision your house would be filled with fish memorabilia everywhere, fish wallpaper in Frank's bathroom, fish cannisters in the kitchen, etc. I do believe he's the most fish lovin' man I ever seen. :cool1::cool1:

TO: rapriebe and other pin/fishing addicts.

One thing we learned very early in sporting the PIN VESTS ; there is someone who is going to try and grab a high-rent pin. Never wear the GOOOOODIES. Live and Learn.

I saw this happen to DW in the Magic Kingdom. He plucked a goodie off of her vest, turned and bumped into me.

Maybe the beard did give him a bit of a scare, but I talked like an adult to him. Maybe a po'd adult. Even in the Magic Kingdom, you may lose it.

Got the pin back. The pin may have looked like the Monorail CastMember Wings, but you can't get CastMember pins, but (another but) there are always things that just happen. You know, I am sooooo old that I just don't remember, BUT ! ! !
