I am posting 2 pictures.
1st PIC) DW Shirley and a friend and Fellow CastMember, along with Me in Epcot at the Mouse Gear. You can see by the picture we were avid DIS PIN Collectors. We started collecting back in the 70's when DIS PINS were 29 cents at the Emporium.
This picture was the last day, first day millennium (1999 New Years Eve). The cowboy hat I am wearing was called 'THE HAT' (avatar) on the Collectors Board.
I believe there was 180 + themed pins ; i.e, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, etc, etc, etc. on my pride and joy, 'THE HAT'. You can see we had vests with DIS PINS. My DW was a fierce trader and our collection bounced between 6 and 8 thousand Disney Pins. Flying to Disney was a challenge. Going through security with reams of PIN BOOKS in a carryon that I could not lift. Shirley, Security would like to talk to you.. I always found a trash can to hide in.
Cost finally drove us out of the game. Most sold off, but the GOOOODIES are set aside for the Grandbabys. Also, I did sport a FU MANCHU beard back then. My son said to me ; "when you took your glasses off, you looked like a BAD A**. Who me ??? I was always a Philly Pussycat.
ARE ANY OF YOU CAMPING PEEEEPLES, PIN COLLECTORS ??????
2nd PIC) I caught a bigmouth today fly fishing. Practice for July in WY & MT for the finnies (Frank calls then SWIMMERS) such as rainbow, cutthroat trout.
Now comes the commonality. Can you spot it between the 2 pics. Also, I am not foaming at the mouth. That is my tapered leader. Best place to store it, when it's not in the water.
Spot the commonality and you win a meager prize that I will never buy ! ! !
