For anyone who's followed this thread the past few days, you may recognize the fellow in this photo as being the same guy who was playing the Fire Chief Miller Role in the post I made showing the Citizens om Main Streets musical set a few days ago, he's also played a number of other roles over the years; I've seen photos and videos of him in the roles of:

  • Mac (Captain Jacks assistant in the Pirate Tutorial, I saw that on some random Flickr page
  • Councilman miller on Main Street (that vid was on the WDW-Memories podcast)
  • head pirate "Nasty Nate Cole" of Rusty Cutlass (most recently on the Dreamfinder forever podcast where they showed a performance of HO HO HO and a Bottle of Rum)
... but many of us remember him as the emmcee of the Diamond horseshoe Revue, which is the role he was in when I took this shot below back on February 4, 2000, yeah it's not the greatest photo of that show but it comes with a lot of great memories. One thing that you MIGHT find of interest in the photo is the stack of cowboy hats you can see on the piano at right (I have one of those from a day LATER in the year 2000 when I was they guy Sluefoot Sue picked in the part of the show where those are used).

Yes, we read your posts! :thumbsup2

I was so tired last night, after coming in after a short family vacation, that I started to read your Main Street post, and then realized I wasn't retaining the information! LOL! :rotfl:

So, I actually kept the post/page open, so I could read it first thing this morning, when I was "fresh!"

I've never heard or seen that before--about Main Street, getting all the "characters" together. You really need to post that on our Best Kept Secrets thread. They would love it over there. If you need the link, just let me know....

Keep the tidbits going...great to see you on these boards...I think I've been thru your website once a long time ago....did you have an article on AllEars about postcards once?

I'll head over there as soon as I finish this, thanks for the suggestion (and broadening my Disboards horizons a bit)

Some Pirate & Princess Party lighting and fog made for an interesting image:

I had some luck on the train with this shot. I hoped a BTMRR train would go by right beside us, but this was decent enough.

Okay...I'm really confused about this thread....

When I went to our original thread, it had a link to THIS thread....

But, a lot of our original great posters aren't on here (GDAD, YEKCIM, etc.). When they closed the original thread, did they start two new threads?

If there's another link to a POTD thread, can someone post it? I just followed what they posted and ended up here....

I don't care WHERE the thread is located (photo. boards vs. them park boards); I just love looking at the pictures all day long!

Thanks!

ok, i am new to this and i was just wondering... how can i subscribe to this thread or any other one then? I like looking at the pictures as well. :surfweb:

First of all, :welcome:

Now that you've posted on this thread I believe you're subscribed to it and should receive email notification anytime someone posts on it (unless you chose another option when registering on this site).

For future reference, if you'd like to subscribe to a thread without posting on it, go to the top of the page and choose "thread tools" and then click "subscribe to thread". :thumbsup2

Perhaps the moderators could be persuaded to reunite them. :wizard:

That would be nice- the original POTD thread was always on the Theme Park Board rather than the Photography Board- I think that is why the other one kind of took right off.

Don't think they'll do it. The original thread was too long and slowing down the boards, so they broke it up. I guess we can just all go on over to the Theme Parks board and continue there maybe.
