Thanks! 14 days Wow that's a long time. The longest vacation I've ever taken is 7 days... I think I might try to take a trip down in January or February - the Unoffical Guide crowd calendar shows a lot of 3's, 4's and 5's... plus I've never been down that time of the year.

I love Steamboat Willie, the girls and I watch it regularly - it's my favorite short of all time, I'm always whistleing the song...

Our personal B/W favorites are "Barn Dance" and "Haunted House". The first one, in particular, has a catchy tune. It's amazing to see how clever the cartoonists back in that era were. What passed for "cartoons" today is so unimaginative and un-clever (is that a word?). It does not even compare, IMO.

I'm gonna cheat, and post my "other" Steamboat Mickey pic, complete with Pete and one other comical character:

Where's that at, Ed? I've never seen it before... yeah - I agree about the animation not being as creative as it was back then. The girls and I - we watch the old black and white Mickey shorts and crack up laughing. We don't really laugh like that at many of the new cartoons / animations. I've seen "Haunted House" - I think it's featured on the "The Adventures of Ichabod (sp?) and Mr. Toad" but I don't know if I've seen "Barn Dance"... I think it's funny to see how Pete has evolved over the years. I think he's changed more than any other character...

Where's that at, Ed?

It's in the Exposition Hall, just behind the railroad station / park entrance, at MK. It's way in the back of the building, down the hall from the photo stuff. There are a couple other "photo op" props back there, and a small theater, or screening area. I saw the Steamboat Mickey prop on someone else's potd and asked the same question, or we'd have never found it, either.
