Dunno how you did that, Joe, but it is a beautiful shot.

Hey! Where's R2?? Is this just during Star Wars Weekends, or something? Wow... what I would have done to see the REAL R2 when I was a kid... :cloud9: (who am I kidding... still want to see him!! :rolleyes1). Thanks for the pic! :thumbsup2

The picture was taken during the Stars & Motor Cars Parade at MGM. It brought back alot of memories seeing them. Now DD is a big Star Wars fan, so I know she'll love it when we go this year.

LOL Ed ^^^ Looks kind of like your avatar with eyes. :thumbsup2

Thanks for your comment on the last page btw.

All of these pictures are amazing!! I am planning on buying a new digital camera pre-trip. Any suggestions on one that will take great quality pics like this? (Feel free to PM so I don't hijack the thread~!). Thanks in advance!

You'll get a lot more feedback if you post on the Photography board:

Oh, and by the way, the pix on this thread have been made with a myriad of different cameras. I would strongly suggest you not base your decision on a camera solely because so-and-so uses Camera X and he/she take great pictures. There is a LOT more that goes into great photos than the particular camera you use.

Actually, Jeff, it looks more like ME, than my avatar (round, shiny head, punctuated by a very sparse covering of hair, with the perpetual deer-in-the-headlights eye effect).

Thanks for the link to the other board...I'm a newbie trying to get a grasp on the whole Dis boards :)

hehe I know I know a lot more goes into it...and I never would base my choice on just that. I'm also a newbie to the whole photography thing & just wanted an idea of good cameras :) It is, of course, more talent then anything :)

Wow! Nice one! :thumbsup2

YEKCIM likes this shot a L-O-T! And, you had to leave the park to get it; that takes dedication to your craft! Kudos!

Thanks Jeff and YEKCIM. The two of you get amazing results with some mighty fast glass. Maybe you can help me with a shot I have consistently failed to get -- the audioanimatronic (not the shadow) Yeti in EE -- sans flash. I don't think they make glass that fast.

YEKCIM -- I wasn't as dedicated as you. I wasn't up at dawn! That sure gave you a shadowless shot (since it was taken from the east). I'm supposed to have nabbed the best photo ops at every resort. (Was I glad to hear that the Bonnet Creek Resort isn't Disney!) After ten years and help from 250 fantastic photographers (including many on this board), I'm almost there.

If only you maestros can think of a way to nab that Yeti ...

Wish they'd bend the "no flash photography" rule just this once! Looks like the Yeti Nebula.
