I don't know where the ducks were coming from, but they were really cute (though a young girl started throwing some of the baby ducks over the fence - a couple of us had to say something to her to stop it!) She wasn't trying to be mean, just trying to help them over in a way that was too rough.

Flowerchild,,,,you are right in correcting me! My DGDs call her that and so I just thought that was her name. I will be looking for her and will make sure I call her "Clarice" and not "Cleo"!!!! Thank you for straightening me out!!!

I hope you find her :) If you do get a photo taken with her, let me know so I can see it :goodvibes I would like to get another photo taken with her as well ;) Maybe I will bring her a Flower :flower3:

Another postcard from Walt Disney World. Excellent shot, as usual, Jeff.

Thank you Ed- BTW- Nice one of FOTLK. What camera/lens? I have been disapointed with my results in that show.

Cute picture!

I love everyone's photos on here. I've been working up to post one of my own so if this doesn't work, please forgive me.

This is youngest DD in 2006, the first time she met her favorite princess.

Jeff, that was the only keeper, out of several attempts. Camera was the Fuji S5200, 800 ISO. If I had to do it again, with that camera, I might have tried 1600 and run it thru Noise Ninja or something. The trick, as you know, is timing. Catching the performers when they aren't moving (rare) or when they are at the "peak" of some movement (rarer, still) is crucial. The one shot I posted is the only one that was not just completely blurry.

Given the moderate cost of the camera, though, I find the Fuji's ISO 800 to be very useable and a definite cut above its direct competitors, even w/o IS.

I'm not a big fotlk fan, but Mrs. YEKCIM has decreed that we will go to the show again in July and I'm going to give it a shot with the D50/50mm f/1.8 and try ISO 1600.

DH got picked on our first trip as well but not such a great memory for us. It completely traumatized our DS4 when they "shot" his daddy:confused3 We can't even let him see the pictures I took!

That's too bad for DS, but maybe when he is older and you cn explain it to him...It was a lot of fun, but i agree it would a little tramatic to him...that's his daddy:banana:

Sorry if I posted this one before.

Sad to see this place close. Though not one of our favorites it was still a nice place to eat. Any word on what will be replacing it.

I found this info right here on the DIS
The L'Originale Alfred di Roma Ristorante is scheduled to close on August 31, 2007.

Starting September 1, 2007, this location will become part of the Patina Restaurant Group. Noted for their "Naples" restaurant in Disneyland, the Epcot venue will feature the cuisine of Master Chef Joachim Splichal.

A flagship restaurant is expected to open at this location in the Fall of 2008. It is rumored that it will continue operation during this transition, but booking is not yet available. It will participate in the Magic Your Way Dining plan.

Alfredo's does offer the Disney Dining Experience 20% discount - Holidays excluded. It is not yet known if the Patina restaurant will participate in DDE
