I know you guys probably get asked this a lot, but I'm have to ask again, since I am fairly new to this thread:

"What kind of cameras are you all using?" Those BM shots and most of the others are fabulous. I have Kodak's top-of-the-line PAS, but my gosh, it doesn't take anything like you guys are posting! (At least, I don't THINK it does!)

Are you guys using SLR camers with zoom lenses or what?

You guys have me really going now.....

I am the THEE biggest "camera dummy" EVER! However, some of the shots I get with DH's digital are great! He has an Olympus SP-500UZ. I just point and click. Oh yeah and sometimes my pics come out better when I remember to take the lense cap off! I have no idea what I am doing.

MY secret for colors etc is http://picasa.google.com/ you can do some great things with your pics. I think I might get Photoshop next- I have been reading the Photog board and I see some people use that. Its like 30.00 something bucks for a lifetime.

2nd: Madd.--Really? So, is the Olympus a SLR camera? I'll go and look it up, and you just PAS? That is amazing? You've got some really great shots. I'll look at the photo editor you're using too. I use MS's Digital Image, which is another great program.

I've heard a lot about Photoshop. Is that Adobe's? I thought it was much more expensive than that, so I've never looked into it.

I am using the Canon S80. It has a lot of different features that alter the color. Sepia, B/W, vivid, brings out blues, reds, greens, etc. No messing with the photo after, the camera does it!

I dont even know what a SLR is...... I do have to zoom in or out- before snapping- but I always leave the setting on auto b/c I dont know what the other settings mean! OMG! how bad am I- It is almost embarrasing! Now that I am getting into taking and editing more- I may check out the manual!

As for Photoshop- yes it says Adobe on the website- these are the prices shown:

These are 2 pics I edited on Picasa and I love they why they turned out. The 2nd one I just added color to the angel while the rest of the pic is b/w. They are not Dsiney pics therefore I didnt want to post them on this thread- but you can see them here:
