Was this on 9/20 - because if it was, I was there in MK that day, too! AND GOT UNBELIEVABLY DRENCHED! They finally had Spectro and up until that point it wasn't too bad. Until Mom and I headed for the hub for Wishes and as soon as we left and got into the open the skies opened again. And there is NO cover in the hub! I have never seen anything like that night! Haha thanks for sharing - my mom will get a kick from this one!

YES!!! It was the 20th!! We were waiting over by Hall of Presidents and this wonderful woman got out in the middle of the street and started doing "If Your Happy And You Know It!" - the kids went nuts!!!LOL After Spectro we ducked under the overhang there at Hall of Presidents and were trying to sort ourselves out when the heavens opened!! We waited that out and headed over for the hub in front of the castle and just as we reached the bridge the wind picked up and the rain poured again! I've never been so wet with all my clothes on in my life!!! My ds3 had quite a puddle in his stroller!! The other two kids were just watching the skies for lightening and complaining of how squishy their pants felt!!
(can't imagine why! ) So good to hear another Dis'er was there and shared the experience!!

Here's a firework shot, also from the night of the 20th! You can see from the trails just how much the wind was still blowing! I think this was the night the tornado was just north of us as well!

We were there on the 20th also,,trying to catch spectromagic (after 3 yrs!)
It was delayed 2x,,the lightning was amazing! We walked from Main St to the hub for Wishes,,and it rained uncontrollably!!! It was the only nite we didnt have our ponchos! heres DD 4 wearing a bag,,I felt like we had taken a shower without soap..and the worst part was wishes started when we were in line at the bus stop!!

Yup the tornado was the same nite! I remember watching T.V in the room and nothing was on but news! I couldnt watch Jay!!!!

Hey guys,

I haven't been around lately but I am in desperate need to help and am praying that there is some.... I downloaded 50 or so pics to my computer and picked them up with Picasa.... they were there a few minutes ago... I went out of Picasa to erase them from Kodak Easyshare and when I went back to Picasa... they're GONE!!!! Trash bin is empty as well since I'm trying to keep my computer running a little more smoothly. How can i find them??? Any computer or photo experts have some suggestions??? Throw em at me so I can hopefully find my pics - we took the kids to the Neptune festival last weekend to see the sand sculptures and now all of those pics are gone

Oh man I hope you are able to retrieve them. Unfortunately I don't know how to help. Did you try posting a thread on the photography board here and see if anyone there knows what to do ? Hope someone can help.

Gosh, that brings back memories!

We were at EPCOT that same night, and I remember they were "trying" to close down The Living Seas, but the lightning and rain were fierce, so the few of us left in there didn't want to go!

...and they actually did Illuminations during the storm! We could see it going off from the exit! CRAZY!

...and yes, you are right...it was amazing to finally make it back to your hotel room (P.C.), and the only thing on t.v. was news & weather about the tornados!

Who knew all that was going on around us! When we got back, we were slammed with questions from people wanting to know if we got caught "in the rain!"

Uh, yeah!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the PM... with your advice I found all of my lost pics from last weekend I knew my fellow Disers would know what to do Thanks again!

Bless her heart! She looks just miserable! And it was also very warm that night - she must have felt like a turkey ready to go in the roasting pan!! My youngest decided he would rather be wet than hot! We were headed for the exit when they announced that Wishes would be "delayed" - I looked at dh and said "we're already wet!" So we waited!! - and as soon as it was over we hustled our hineys to the bus!!! (along with 4000 other people!!!)

We love him!! I think his name was Mack? - he totally made that show! He played with our youngest son prior to the show and also picked him to be a part of it. His humor was the best! I think I have more shots of him than of the Captain!!
