We went to Disney in May and the pics with my DD are so wonderful. They instantly bring me back. Does anyone send Disney Christmas cards? I am considering having some made out of one of our pics. I hesitate because the trip was back in May and I have to think that people will wonder why our Christmas card is not exactly Christmas-y. Opinions? Personal experience?

:listen:

We're going in a week and if I can get a good one of our whole family, I'm going to use it for our card this year.

HTH! :)

Well,,, I use our card from us standing in front of the castle and it was in May, and I used the one of my daughters on the side of the castle that was taken in October! I LOVED them and so many people commented,, To me, It is my memories and I want to share!

Now this year........ I am using a picture that I took on purpose of my daughters at the beach at Sundown in the Steeler Jerseys! They are cute as well.,...

We were just getting film developed at Wal Mart yesterday, and they had flyers with a few Disney themed photo cards available. One had Mickey and Minnie, one was the Disney Princesses, and one was the Pooh characters. They are pretty cute- a picture of the kids at WDW on a Disney card would be really nice.

This is what I did last year:

I made it myself. My kids love Thomas & I got a picture of DH in Mystic (CT) last year with them. I love Disney so the chubby chick is me with them & the other picture was one of the few of the two of them that I took that came out good.

I don't know what I am going to do this year but something similar & I have been able to play around with PSP more over the past year so I know how to use it better but now I have 3 kids to get happy for a picture....ugh!

Costco has Disney-themed photo cards this year too. I saw them when I was in their store today - very cute! Here they are if you want to check them out (click the Disney tab to get them all in on one screen)...

We will definately be putting one of our family pictures from Disney on our card. I think it will look great with one of the Disney-themed Christmas cards from above :)

We have done it for the last 2 years and will be doing it again this year. The first year we were in Disney at Christmas and took our pic in front of the castle. Last year I got us all matching Mickey sweaters from Disney Shopping and had our pic in front of our Christmas tree. This year I don't know yet, I haven't really looked too hard at our last trips pics yet to see if one of those will be used. We are going to AZ in a few weeks...maybe I will do a Disney sweater/shirt thing in AZ.

I think it really doesn't matter when the pic is, with the Christmas border, it makes it Christmas.

We did exactly the same thing. We went in May 2003. We kept trying to get Pooh's, Eeyore's etc picture at the Animal Kingdom and each time we went down the walkway they were coming up to take a break. Finally the third time it happened the CM told me to come back up to the top to wait and in a few minutes they all would be coming back out. We waited a few minutes then Eeyore, Pooh, Piglet and Tigger came out. She had us first in line to get their pix. I took a pix of my DH, DD & DS with them and then she asked for my camera, had me get in the pix and took one of all of us. We decided to us that for our Christmas Cards-I ordered them through Target. Our relatives enjoyed the pix eventhough we weren't sure about using the pix since it wasn't Christmasy.

Do you have to be a member at Costco to get these cards? I am a member at BJ's and Sam's, but not costco. I LOVE these cards and will definitely be getting them if I can.

We've taken our Holiday pics at Disney for the last few years, we usually go in Oct so the photos are pretty current. I dress the kids in red/green tees and head over to WinterSummerland mini golf for a game. We pose near Mickey & Minnie, the snowmen, Santa and other wintery decorations as we play around the course. :santa: Whichever turns out best is the photo for our Christmas card. We get the best of both worlds, Disney & Christmas!

We did that this year... in Downtown Disney near the Christmas store, there's a little setup with Goofy, Mickey, Pluto, and Donald and it's all snowy and stuff, and it says 'Happy Holidays' in the background. So, we're using that as our xmas cards this year. :p

our 2005 christmas card was from our February trip. This was a huge part of our year!!!! Go for it.

I took a pic of my sons outside the Poly last December (with the Christmas decorations behind them). After uploading them to my computer, I had them made into Christmas cards. I really liked them.
Not sure if we'll have any holiday themed cards this year as we are going 10/27-11/5. However, I did notice that the first MVMCP is only a week after we leave, so maybe there will be some Christmas decorations up .

HOW DID YOU DO THAT? IT LOOKS FABULOUS?

ReinerFam-Thanks, just layers & layers in PSP (Paint Shop Pro) & picture tubes & frames, etc....

I have to start working on this years.

I did get them printed thru Winkflash so they had one side to write on like the normal picture card does. But I am thinking of just making my own with a side to write on or just add our names to it vs writting this year.

Every year our Christmas card is a picture of our family in Disney World somewhere. It has become a tradition. I do it through snapfish. At the end of the month (October) snapfish will have a pretty good coupon for holiday picture cards, like 20% off, that's when I do them.

In the past our pictures are of all of us in shorts and tank tops, but the card is a Christmas theme. We did the picture of all of us at the Christmas set-up at DTD by the Christmas shop, but now I just use any really good picture. This year's picture will be the one in my signature.

I am not sure about being a member to do the Costco pictures. I am sure that you may know someone whose number you can borrow. I think that those are some great pictures. I am all about the Tink Card. My DD and DH were Tink and Peter Pan last year. He looked just like Peter that he had to wear a speacial tag that said he was not a Disney character. That would be a great Christmas Card to use. It is so neat to see everything that people do to make their Christmas Cards.

Every year we take pictures of DD in DTD next to the Chrstmas store. Most of the time we take the picture in August, but I have taken it in December. We alway get comments on our cards. For us, its great to see how she changes every year.

Our Christmas card picture comes from summer vacation every year. I take so many photos, that I always end up with a good one with the kids, a nice candid shot, that will represent our family well.

We sent the Christmas photo cards last year. Our pic was our family with Mickey at the Animal Kingdom. We went in September, so not to far from Christmas. However, the picture wasn't "Christmas-y"....and I was fine with that!! It was a great photo and captured our family perfectly.

I say GO FOR IT!! :)
