Hi,

We just returned home from WDW a week ago
(had a great time!!) and were thinking of ordering the photopass CD with all the pics on it. Just wondering, for those who have ordered this- what shipping method do they use to ship it? Also, (more importantly) have you been charged the customs fees and taxes on this pruchase??

thanks for any info !!

We pre-ordered ours and used the regular ground shipping or the least expensive method to ship to Canada and there was no issue with customs or anything extra.

They used UPS Expedited service. There were no taxes, extra fees or anything like that. I believe it took about 3-4 days from the time they sent me my tracking number.

Thanks for your input and experiences- we are splitting the cost with some other family members that were there with us and i was not really sure about how much to tell them it would be.... still, i may just wait until we receive it to give them a total amount, as i figure there is the possibility of being charged taxes/fees from customs although i hope it will just go through without... like yours did!!
thanx

We got our PhotoCD in September and didn't get dinged with any customs or additional charges. I wouldn't worry about it. Hope your photos turn out great!

I ordered the PhotoBook and there was brokerage fees.

i am glad to hear from someone in Canada ordering the book. What was your Shipping charges? and Brokerage fees, i tried to do a book last year and when i went to check out, the fees were horrible :scared1: , i canceled the book but i was so disappointed with the shipping to Canada fees. :sad2:

I ordered the photobook using the photos that were taken on the photopass card. In fact I ordered 2 books, one for us and one for my MIL. The shipping was approximately $30 for the two books (costing approx $70 each) which I could live with but what I did not know prior to ordering was the amount for the brokerage charges. When the books arrived, the brokerage charges were $72. :scared1: So the total shipping and brokerage charges were more than half of the total order cost. I called UPS to complain and was informed that each book was sent in a separate package and therefore the brokerage charge was assessed for each package. The UPS customer service mentionned that their express post service waived the brokerage fees. Just wanted to let everyone know about these extra charges.

Did you still have to pay the full brokerage fee or did they refund you? I tried to do a book last year that came to about $80 and at that time the Disney shipping fee were $30 :scared1: , so i cancelled it. But maybe they dropped there rates to Canada. Did you have any other shipping option besides UPS?

So,. did they waive the fee on the 2nd shipment or did you have to pay all at once?

Well after discussing it for an hour or so, the customer service rep finally agreed to drop one of the fees so the final price for brokerage was $39.91. I don't believe that there was any other option regarding shipping. Even the regular US postal service would be cheaper than UPS.
