I ordered a Photobook from Disney's Photo Pass web site & it just arrived!!! :) :) We returned from our trip on 2/16, I placed the order on 2/19 & it arrived on 2/26.

It really is beautiful!! There are a couple things that caught me by surprise though. First of all, it's smaller than I pictured. I had trouble figuring out how big the book would be & finally found that info in an FAQ somewhere. But still, I was surprised that it was a little smaller than I had envisioned. I'm a traditional scrapbooker & am used to seeing BIG fat 12x12 albums. ;) The cover of this book is 8.75"x11". And it's only half an inch thick!! Makes sense, but surprised me. ;)

I did the album that included my own pix & Disney's pix. The cover is really beautiful! But I was a little disappointed in the picture quality. The pictures weren't quite as sharp as a regular print. I wonder if this is normal for these types of digital scrapbooks? I've never ordered one from any of the other sites before (shutterfly, etc.). It's pretty good, but not as good as a print.

Then one strange thing... I had done a lot of editing & reworking. When I was done, I showed it to my dh & he made some suggestions of wording. I know I made changes at the very end & those changes weren't incorporated. No big deal -- it wasn't anything major. But that's a little disconcerting. I wonder what happened. So be sure to double-check the final product before ordering.

Overall, I'm very excited about my book! It's very pretty -- and most of all, IT'S DONE!!!! I don't have to spend the next month scrapbooking our trip!!!!! ;) (I love scrapbooking -- but I'm too far behind! ;) ) Now I have something to show my son immediately!! :) The backgrounds are great too!

Oh -- one thing I learned.... You can choose to do "zero" pictures on a page just to insert a page of journaling. I didn't realize this until I was done -- and had already figured out to fully condense all my stories. Next time, I might do this to add in a couple longer stories.

Have fun!

Sounds great!!! I haven't heard any reviews about the available books. How many pictures did you have put in? How long did it take for you to receive it?
Enjoy!:)

Never heard anything about this ..How much if im not to nosey..Can you show us a pic??

There is at least one other review on the message boards -- because I read it before ordering. :) So do a search & see what others say too. (Everything I read was positive.)

The standard book is 20 pages. I did 36 pages. It's only $1.50 extra per page (a page is a side). My total came almost exactly to $100. If you compare this with the cost of printing photos, buying photopass photos, buying a scrapbook, buying scrapbook supplies.... this is totally a deal!! :) Not to mention the time savings!! I love it!! :) I just hope they continue to improve upon the books in the future... making more options for customization.

I thought this was a much more economical way to get copies of the photopass pics that I wanted! It would have been $125 for the CD... then I would have had to order prints from somewhere!

My timeframe for receiving it is in the message above. :)

Me too
but I would be a 12x12 scrapbooker too

but I love mind  it came out really well :thumbsup2 and it is a nice size to show people
the only thing I was disappointed in was we were on the Disney cruise and there was not many photos or backgrounds to match
but I scanned in the photos from the DCL

I ordered a photobook recently for our Christmas 2006 trip. I reviewed the photobook before ordering with my DH and DS and it looked great. Mine too was different than the final we looked at. A picture was missing! I was very surprised and don't know how it happended. I sent an e-mail to WDW.Photo.Imaging@disneyworld.com several days ago and I have never received a reply. My book cost $81.87. I don't think I will order a photobook again until they can work out the problems.

:confused3

That is disconcerting that both of you had an issue with the final product not being as ordered :( But you are right, it would cost less to order a book than to get the CD, order the pics, make the scrapbook, etc. You said you can add your own pics to the book, not just the photopass ones? That is awesome!!!

PS Can you post a pic of your book? I am so nosy  I am assuming it's hardcover?
